New recruit to Eurosport, Cav added to his third place tally in the Palm Classic - good start for our first season in the WT.
Meanwhile our new Dev team came nowhere but not expecting much tbh.

Nice that van Lerghberge joined the break in Palm Classic as it was otherwise a nothing race for us. Especially as he was a last minute edition.
Copa Cyclista went better for us with Roinas in 8th, also that zabel.
Those videos are great bikex though, thanks for making them and the results.

Yamamoto is helping ensure a good start for Specialized, 2 top-10 places and sitting 10th in the GC in Indonesia. We also appeared in the break in both stages, so a much better start than I was expecting.

One race, one breakaway. Already a better season for us.
Nice effort from Spokes and good to see Phinney trying something. Last season he was held back by Cav too often.

Quintessential "oh look good riders, off we pop and just ride in around fiftieth for our best riders". Oran in a break was nice. Now just waiting for the main team debut in Christchurch, where Bennett will ride in ~20th and think it's a good performance.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Now let's just keep this 8 stages per day pace for the whole season

Since my question was missed on the previous page, could you confirm he was in the race? He definitely was on my excelfile.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

That's what I wanna see: Two wins for UNICEF DT in Indonesia! Biermans with an absolutely strong breakaway move and just the next day Reinders wins!
Spoiler I admit, Reinders is wearing another jersey now, but he's basically one of our gus.

Yamamoto cracked hard on that last stage but at least Chaves was able to pull in another good result.

He was definitely in the race, but I don't know for sure what happened. I also only noticed it shortly before posting the result. Either he was involved in the Sagan crash or crashed out later when I was at x8 race speed. Sorry about that. |

Ok, thanks for checking. Not the best way to start the season, but crashes happen of course

What's the crash frequency set at anyway, 100%?

We were hoping for a top 3 in the Palm classic, coming away with not even making it into top 5, we're leaving very disappointed...
Miguel Bryon secured a top 50 in Copa America, and Tour d'Indonesia isn't even worth talking about, we got 5 top 100, and only on the time trials... My main team disappointed and my development team is shit...
Wiggo and Simon Gerrans!

Interesting to see riders going for an intermediate sprint in the Palm Classic - the riders must get cash bonuses I guess
Van der Lijke not able to repeat his opening day win, but that was expected. Good to see Weening attacking early in Indonesia, that's why we brought him in this year. A good race overall with Reinders beating Boasson Hagen in a sprint(!) but horribly let down by the time-trial stages.

Nice work BikeX with the start to the season.
Guardini predictably low top ten ish position in our WT opener, meanwhile a Fiat guy in the top 5 is something to celebrate!

First three stages of Tropicale and first of Toowoomba added.
Spoiler The racing in Toowoomba was really exciting for a flat stage. I don't think I experienced something like that in PCM13. It was pure destruction done by Allianz and Carbonsports cutting the peloton into pieces.
So far PCM15 made a great impression. |
