Not a single win the whole year, wins twice in the race I least expected him to do well. Amazing. It's too bad we haven't got a single rider doing well in the GC because in that case we would have had more than a chance to overtake DeLaval. Oh well.
Loving those reports The Rider!

By popular demand, a Beijing-style mid-race update
Strava 1535
Compal 1468
Novatek 1445
Indosat 1420
Fablok 1383
De Laval 1292
Generali 1240
Netia 1113
In-N-Out 1110
SanCor 1003
Alpina 968
Carlsberg 925
Severstal 907
And as it would stand if the race ended now:
Strava 1650
Novatek 1574
Fablok 1505
Compal 1468
De Laval 1440
Indosat 1420
Generali 1252
In-N-Out 1131
Netia 1113
SanCor 1044
Alpina 1005
Carlsberg 925
Severstal 908
Still a lot to play for then - especially in the race for the Top 10 and a potential promotion spot depending on disbandments. |

Ouch, had expected to be a bit closer even with a virtual GC win. Hopefully we can get some more points in stage results at least, so the gap can be bridged in Züri with Rabon/Pozdnyakov both racing there as well.

So basically we have to win both Zuri and this race to win the title. Sad I'm depending on Lejman and not Lavoine Still gonna say Strava will win the title

Lead is bigger than I expected but I guess we'll lose plenty of points to Novatek and Fablok in the comign days. Zuri gives me headache already.

3 points up on In-N-Out (or 18 if it ended now), provided Gaimon doesn't suddenly race amazingly here (touch wood) I think we can make that up in Züri, especially as In-N-Out won't be there and we have our best squad possible for the goal, still this could really come down to the wire...
Bad for us Ratto won today but if we don't catch Generalli I'm not to concerned as that would really be a bonus (congrats Matt btw).
Thanks for the race the rider and the update jph.

Let's just end the season already, this is getting rudiculous
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well Corioni did good at limiting the damage but Serebriakov finishing third is obviously a pretty bad for us still. But it was to be expected.

Capecchi zabel'd lel
Well can't be unhappy with 5th place really, it still was a fairly decent sprint after all, he just picked the wrong wheel. Gratz Ian! That sneaky last stage smells Generali
Too bad it looks like we won't be carrying home the Green Jersey, oh well. Thanks TR!

Andriato with a brilliant lead-out and getting that much wanted stage win and back in the points jersey! Great day for the SanCor boys |

Aargh this anonymity is really starting to get to me. And, although I'm very pleased on one level for our fellow South Americans SanCor getting a victory in a semi-'home' race that's exactly what we don't need in the race to the top 10!

Zabel'd
Nice win for our Argentinian friends, hope this is enough for PCT promotion
Now for stage 8! We will only fail by a bit I think

I think that's Westlings best day all season
Anyway good to get another top 10 for Jukka. With two riders so high up in the GC I can hardly wait for the final race day of the season for us.

Rabon survived as expected. The final stage will be vital now. Hopefully Belmokhtar drops a little in the GC so we can gain a bit more on Strava. I don't see Rabon/Pozdnyakov scoring the 90 points needed in Züri, so we'll need to gain as much as possible now.

Congrats Ian. That was an exciting stage and I'm very pleased with that. 1 stage left to stay in this before Züri...
Thanks for the great report the rider.

Oh Capecchi... so close! Nice to have Pineau out front, and get a bit tv time. Just not being able to do enough to make it to the finish.
Well done Ian for the zabel'd victory thanks rider for the report
