National Championships - Route Votes

I was happy to see some of my strongest wishes go through, but then I realized the break will win it anyway.

tastasol
Think I mainly got my "wishes", so looking forward to the races now. Meyer/Haas should be good for the Aussie RR, Juul-Jensen the same for Denmark. Also Vink and Olsson should be amongst the strongest riders in NZL and SWD. Then just hoping for a miracle in Norway, really Pfft

Not the best tracks for my team. Only Ginanni and Roche should be considered as one of favourites, but without any support I don´t think they can deliver. At least Izagirre could surprise in Spanish Championship or maybe someone like Oelerich in Germany?

Seeing how my teams have historically found their way to surpass ridiculous odds to miss the portuguese NC, I'm curious to know how we'll handle a mountainous circuit with the squad we have.

However, given how crazy NCs usually go, it's hard to see things working well with this version of the game.

One thing basically #LavoineforNC

Will be hard to win anything in other races, but I hope Durasek can win the TT in Croatia and might take the RR with his 71 MO Smile

Doubt Lukasz Owsian (our best climber) can take the Polish NC, so that's one sad fact Grin

The problem with these except in the biggest countries is that the only certain thing is that the favourite won't win...

Mezgec has a nice chance of winning the Slovenian champs, if of course breakaways dont take it. Hungarian championship can't be lost. Don't really have anyone for Slovakian champs. Simon would have had a chance in the hills but it is flat. So really only 1 decision went in my favour

I can rule France out now unless it is a breakaway win. Other nations can be one big unknown. All are small nations but hoping that the Mountain stat of Baz and Homrani can win their respective titles in Algeria and Tunisia.

A slightly higher cobble stat just gives Thouta the edge over some in Gabon, especially when Bakari will not be present.

Finally Morocco... who knows with that!

99% of these will end in breaks from what PCM usually shows us anything under 50 riders is usually guaranteed so no one should be too disheartened really it just comes down to luck ironically kind of like real life nationals

No idea what to expect from these, I'm hoping we can keep the Sammarinese title I house but Scarponi has such a big difference in Mountain stat to my guys it's going to be really hard. Hopefully the fact he's the favourite means we'll get it from a break. I was hoping for a cobbled route to make Zafferani favourite to make it 3 in a row but it wasn't to be.

I've no idea what to expect from the other title's, It would be cool to finally grab the Swiss title but I don't think we've got strong enough Puncheurs to keep up with the Swisscom guys although I'm sure that Schurter will give it his best, if only that was chosen next year when I have a maxed Kung and Hugentobler to challenge for it instead.

Mountains in Malaysia should give us a good chance of getting that title as we've got some depth there, hopefully we can keep the Indonesian title aswell but I think that will be a bit harder on a mountainous route and we are in danger of seeing Alizadeh force us to give him another chance by taking the Iranian crown.

Mountains in Austria probably gives Denifl the upper hand there and he'll be very hard to beat but if it's a slightly mountainous TT course then hopefully that will give Zoidl a shot at the TT crown although I doubt he'll end up taking it.

I'm guessing Drucker would be favourite for Luxembourg, but it will probably go to a Schleck due to the size of the field allowing a breakaway victory, at least Liechtenstein should be an interesting battle between my flat beast in training and my first season CT Mountain Sprinter.

I think that covers all the nations we've got a rider in except Italy where I'm guessing Zardini will be hoping for a break as if one doesn't win it then it's probably going to Ponzi judging by his form this year.

Groenewegen, Thurau, Villella and Vanmarcke new NC. No need to play them even. Pfft

Angry

If we can't win the Belgian road race this year then I just don't know if we ever will Pfft

EDIT: Oh and of course thank you as always SN.

I specifically voted for ones where we would not have a favourite and I don't think we have a favourite anywhere, Given the breaks will most likely win, hopefully we might win 1 somewhere in there. My only real worry is Domagalski being considered a favourite for the Polish NC, because there aren't many Polish climbers, despite them all being much stronger then him.

Thanks a lot SN. Smile

I guess the Netherlands NC could need a 200+ km route. Otherwise it`s breakaway or Bos indeed.
200+ km is just breakaway. Pfft

The number of teams not competing will certainly make things more interesting, especially for my team.
The hills in Colombia should be a good battle, especially as there is no real favourite which will hopefully give Tamayo Martinez and Arredondo a chance.
The hills in Spain as well should be great as again there are favourites but no real team that could control the race. Cobo and Valls will hopefully do something.
One race I am looking forward to is France. The flat terrain means that the sprinters will have a great chance. It also gives teams the chance to control the race. I personally hope that Jeannesson, El Fares and Vaugrenard will control the breakaway. Then in the bunch sprint I will have Bonnet and Reza there to lead out Bouhanni!

Nice, these routes certainly do suit us a lot in france, usa and czech republic

hopefully we'll have a nc winner!

To be honest I hope the mountains in Austria makes one of Brändle or Preidler attack and Denifl sit up. Would prefer one of them to have the jersey (Brändle should take the TT-jersey). Hills in Germany gives Flügel or a breakaway a good chance. Both good for my team
