This is just getting ridiculous. Plenty of lower and equal hill riders finishing in front of Tenorio, while he didn't even try anything.
It's getting more and more ridiculous with every stage that's not a TT or flat stage. Tenorio is just not performing up to his stats. He's failing in both Tirreno and now Suisse, while in the Vuelta he showed he was capable of more. Seems like he is just hit or miss, which is strange considering he has decent supporting stats and only his ACC is lacking (which didn't seem to hinder him that much in Spain).

Ah, finally a break. Shame Prevar only has 71MO...
Nepomnyachsniy losing quite a few positions, but with Prevar moving up we now have 5 riders in the top 40, which is just ridiculous.

Yeah, why not? What a poor stage! A few sh**y riders moving up the Top-10, Morton sitting up to drop down to 24th..
Thanks for the reports, roturn. But AI wise this is a ridicolously poor race. Only a miracle could save this one for Oz, but I don't see us in a breakaway...
Arrgh, really frustrated right now

Did Schleck wait for Paterski or crash, or something? Awful

Not a good AI at all, that's for sure, but seeing Martin's performance is still pleasing. More than a minute down to both Dekker and Tenorio at least gives him a realistic chance at keeping it.
Alarcon again initiating fireworks amongst the GC riders, chapeau to him for that.
And finally we should stop to hear from SotD that Spilak will mess up in one stage in every stage race He's rock solid here! Congratulations both to him - difficult to see Spilak loose it on the very final day - and especially wackojackohighcliffe on a superb stage win with the added bonus of a proper fight for the KoM jersey. |

Good fight by Penasa for the top 20..., but hope for more TV time the last day.
Gratz to Spilak, dominant performance!

Some extremely crazy gaps here. Some riders are just off at this point.
It does kinda suck to know that Spilak could have won here and gotten 2nd on the hilly stage, but because the AI sucks balls, we have to settle for 9th and 4th.
Martin Hacecký is doing well though which is nice.
If Spilak can win the race I will be very happy. I have NEVER before managed a "Win Goal", so it would be very very nice to actually try that.
If Spilak ends in top 13 and Phinney doesn't (or ends 3 spots lower, no matter where) then Spilak will take the points jersey which will be a consolidation for the stupid AI, although I would rather have taken another stagewin.

Well...
Spilak fucked it up in Tirreno-Adriatico, he then fucked it up in Tour of California, while Ricco fucked up the final stage in the Giro... So there is some pattern. If they hadn't done so, then I would have been leading the PT by a decent margin

Nice try by Othman but the mountain stage was pretty anonymous for us! Thank you for the reports Roturn.

Seeing both Othman and Hugentobler in the same break was nice, guess my 2 riders had a little reunion on that stage and probably were helped by knowing each others strengths seeing as they both would have been training together with the rest of my squad all winter.
Hopefully next year they can help each other out a lot more when they are both back in Sauber colours.

Sure
At least i am not a biggest whiner this year.
Terrible race AI wise, race to forget really. Karnulin barely in top45 and not a single break appearance.

Definitely didn't wait. Paterski and Medvedev immediately came to front to chase. Both looked stronger though. Probably a very bad day...
Didn't see any crash or puncture neither. |

Well it is a fact. Had I gotten better results in any of those three races, then I would have been leading the PT

Yeah, and if we havent won Vuelta and Herbiers, we would be sitting near the last place, that has roughly same information value. Try for a minute to look how other teams and their riders are doing and you will find that you are actually the very lucky man this year.
Anyway, congarts for another stage win, Spilak is dominating!
We had another anonymous stage, i really dont get the system which decides who will go to the break,i only know it sucks hard.
Madrazo WFT? Incredible how poorly he is doing this year.

Was briefly exciting to see Schleck in the break as by far the strongest on paper, but of course today the break were chased, and he did fuck all anyway. Riding more like a low 70s MO rider, so can only think he must have crashed and picked up some sort of minor injury.
Thanks for covering the race roturn.
Spilak has consistently delivered this season. It may be his first overall win, but he has always been up there scoring well. Stage 8 annoyed me too much to pay much attention to the GC fight, but looking at the GC: Pendleton's seems like they can fluke survival by consistent breakaway success, Kolesnikov always rides quite well, decent showing for Good Energy, Hacecky and Hivert much higher than you would expect thanks to various disappointments of better riders.

And had Ricco not overperformed throughout the race up to that point, you wouldn't be Never mind any If/Thens that Vesuvio or Becherovka might have themselves!

Oh ffs Pinot, maybe consider attacking once in a while?
Overall maybe worse than expected, but with a stage win, the joint KoM win and 20th and 25th on GC it could be worse. However with Pendleton's scoring ridiculously well, we're probably actually further from safety now. Thanks for the reports roturn - and tsmoha - and congrats to SotD |
