Magnificent win by Matthias Frank, gratz to Swisscom!
A little bit disappointed by our performance, curious how much is left in the tank. Joining the breaks in a home pro tour race is the least we can ask for.

Great to see Frank get a win here on home soil! Necessary win for Swisscom.
Spilak further increasing the gap, perfect race for him so far!

Too bad Lammertink didn't try something in that finish.
Still hopeful Henao can finish in the top 10 here.

YES! MATHIAS FRANK!! In the champion jersey at our home race! I think this is one of my favorite wins, definitely the highlight of this disappointing year. Thank you so much for the report!

As soon as a saw the names and the size of the breakaway, I knew that it was going to win. It Does kinda suck when you have a strong leader and strong team, that they still cannot close those gaps.
Atleast he didnt fuck up, but he usually Does in atleast one mountainstage in a GC race, so my guess is that he will end up being 2nd overall.

Admittedly not what I hoped for from Martin on the hilly stage considering his stats and previous performances this year, but I can't be too disappointed, but it will definitely be very difficult to keep 5th place seeing both Alarcon and Tenorio are behind. But we shall try!
Good to see Bugge try his breakaway luck, being very close to grab the stage win. But no doubts the strongest rider won at the end, congratulations Bushwackers! Finally some success for Swisscom this season, even at home soil.
Thanks for the report, roturn. |

Hilly stage goes to the breakaway. Like what? Really?
Got to be happy with the winner though - I feel as if UBS just haven't really had much luck maybe TdS win will turn a bit of a corner?
Quite happy that Jose didn't completely collapse actually gained time on Tenorio and can strike for a Top 5 now.
Still a flat one next - Chase chase it down please sprint partners

Aker is having an AMAZING amount of breakaway luck this season. They win stages almost everywhere. They are very likely to end up in the top 3 if they continue this form

Great stuff, too bad it didn't result in anything worthful for Goss... He won't win anything this season. Morton with an unexpected move up, let's hope he's similar strong in the mountains.

Idiotic AI all the way.
We have a guy sitting on 24th in GC, no one else who can do anything in GC and we dont join a single breakaway during 7 stages. I swear we joined like 5 breaks during whole season, while some teams are in EVERY break. I get why we havent joined them during Vuelta, but we had a sucky leader in every other race and half of team is doing nothing, because of bad dice roll or i dont know what else.

Lost a place to Morton, still 4 guys in the top 30, nothing more to say here. Or perhaps, join a break!

Everyone should know by now, Borges in the break means the breakaway is going to suceed and Borges will take 2nd on the stage. It's only like the 4th or 5th time it's happened this season.

Crash Pomoshnikov; that probably means he will be in the breakaway next mountain stages and at least win one of them!

Ditto for Cataldo, call dibs for the final stage.
As Penasa is better positioned the decision was made not to sacrifice any valuable energy to bring Cataldo back to the bunch. A bit sorry for Dario as he has a great season so far and wanted to make use of the opportunity to shine in Switzerland.

Congrats ember, what an interesting stage. It must have been windy. I'm glad the breaks are havingbauch success here as Hugentobler pulls out a decent 5th for us.

That's a very pleasant surprise!
Thanks for the report, roturn. Was pretty sure the breakaway would be caught both with the time gap going into the second category climb, but also when Morton put the hammer down. Great to see them stay away and Bystrøm edge the others for the win.
Truly relieved to see Martin not loose time to any overall contenders, as it looked like he and most others were going to be gapped by the group including the top 4.

They're definitely bonus points! But to be honest they aren't likely to do any major difference as a rare win is 40 points with second place being "only" 25, and we won't have that many of them, that's for sure
Having said that, obviously I'm happy to see my riders joining the breakaways, and I do believe some of them have the stats to justify why they're relatively often in the breakaways (Dyrnes, Hoelgaard, Bystrøm and Robinson Bugge).
And thank you, Bushwackers! |

Hmm, at least it was nice to see my team working so hard and thankfully to a bad AI Howard was able to win the bunch sprint by minutes! Too bad to see a breakaway win though...
