This is the best concise summing up of the season so far I've read

yeah but this is right after the guy braked to stop. That's when you start skidding and move the sand. Riding through it is no problem.
IN other news: Machado and Smukulis replace Caruso and Silin.
I don't have a problem with things like this included in say a prologue but not in a short TTT, I hope that by race time the surface is fixed up a little

Last year, clearly for me was Vuelta -> Giro -> Tour.
This year, the Giro was very good, but I did also like the Tour very much, in part cause of Valverde and Nairo doing well. I expect the Vuelta to be at a similar stage - I can see it being better than the Giro tho if stages 11 and 16 are raced properly
Question is, do we need to constantly rate the GTs? Who cares which one was 100% ,which was 98% and which was 105% rate of enjoyement? So far both GTs were great spectacle and i hope also the third will be the same.

I hate TTTs but if they neutralise this one because of that. When they neutralise something like the Crostis I understand.
But this? Seriously what is the problem with it. It's a bit of sand blown onto a road. Anybody who doesn't like it should not be doing an outdoor sport.
All the complaining by the peloton. it's worse than 2000 women all on their period.
First in Oman it's too hot. Then in Tirreno it's too cold and too much snow. Then in Wevelgem there's too much wind. Then in the Giro they rode too fast. Then they start complaining that transfers between stages are always too long even though the riders do those in luxurious busses that cost over a million each.

Then in Roubaix there are too many trains.

We don't constantly need to rate GT's or whatever. We are just cycling fans, some bigger than others, and thus like to nerd a bit with something like this. Its not like we (or I) are rating everything constantly.
There would have been hardly any time differences anyway, Vuelta prologue is usually a team presentation. With such a lenght, it would be about seconds...

I've heard that first stage will be neutralized so there will be no time difference after TTT. Is that true?
It's official now that the stage will be neutralised so no time difference with only the stage win up for grabs and the times will still count towards the team classification

I'm confused. When they made the route, it was like this, wasn't it? Why would they even plan this stage if they would need to neutralize it?
It wouldn't be the first time a race organiser has made a mistake, I think it could of worked if it was a prolouge but it's not suitable for a TTT

Can't they make it a prologue? Would be better than neutralizing it...
Team presentations are on: 200 men will be cycling around Spain, followed by a few hundred other men in cars, and then they have some woman singing 'You better pick up the phone when I ring you in the middle of the night'. Right... Compared to that, even podium girls make sense. Luckily, my dinner is ready and I can stop watching.
And Casper to AG2R (yes I will abuse it in off-topic context for a few days now I know what it means )
Anyway, CyclingHub previews. So lengthy, but if you have time so very worth it. Here's stages 1-10:
EDIT: Thanks Shonak make me look like more of a fool than I already am Guess I got Zabel'd by the Zabel'd telling the Zabel'd he got Zabel'd because the Zabel'd figured out his Zabel on his own....
