The TTT course looks to be mostly off-road, along a promenade.

I'm not quite getting the Vuelta hype this year. There seem to be endless articles telling us how it's going to be the best Grand Tour of the Year; I'm sorry but it's just not going to beat the Giro, that was a truly awesome race. Last year I willingly joined on the hyping-the-Vuelta bandwagon but compared to the massive hype it was a pretty big disappointment, definitely not the most exciting GT as the article above (and many others) claimed. That said, I am expecting it to be better than the Tour, but it's unlikely that we'll get this Froome-Quintana-Nibali-Valverde showdown that everyone seems to be predicting. But I'm looking forward to Andorra (even though I won't be able to catch it live )

I feel really accomplished about being able to read Valverde's tweet now.. I don't know why.

Yay, Moreno Moser is in the Garmin squad. Looking forward to seeing him race after his period of being at non-British Eurosport races. |

Imagine if the peloton went a week without finding something to whine about. It makes me sick

Apparently Martin and Talansky are leading together. If I were manager, I would make Martin work like a dog for Talansky. Even though I think Martin fits better and could do better, he is leaving. Garmin need to start thinking about points to stay in the World Tour, and giving them to Etixx isn't gonna help that.

Wasnt the 2014 Vuelta better than the Giro that year? We can all agree that the Tour wasnt good, but I think the Vuelta was better due to us getting that matchup which was pretty epic the last couple of stages. Could have been so much better with Nairo tho. And IIRC, the mountain stages was kinda dull in the Giro apart from that stage Nairo won over Gavia and Stelvio |

No GT was really good last year but each of them had very exciting stages (Vuelta some MTF, Giro Stelvio, Tour Cobblez). Tour and Giro this year have been amazing though and nailed it. It'll be hard for Vuelta to top it imo.

Does any PCT want to promote to World Tour anyway? Most PCT seem to be comfortable where they are and teams like Cofidies, Europcar get invited to all the events the care about all the same; maybe MTN if they get a financially strong new sponsor.

Last year, clearly for me was Vuelta -> Giro -> Tour.
This year, the Giro was very good, but I did also like the Tour very much, in part cause of Valverde and Nairo doing well. I expect the Vuelta to be at a similar stage - I can see it being better than the Giro tho if stages 11 and 16 are raced properly |

According to Spanish website Marca, the TTT may be neutralised due to the riders having to face 4 kilometres of sand covered path.....

Seeing as there are only 17 teams who are currently WT anyway then it would need 2 teams wanting to go WT for Cannondale-Garmin to be in any trouble and that's just not going to happen

After looking at some pics of the Vuelta TTT course I think the organises weren't really thinking when they designed the course, I have nothing against dirt roads being used but shifting sand is ridiculous. I wonder if the teams will still use there TT bikes as they handle so poorly, if they all agreed to use road bikes it might help the situation but in reality this is a massive fuck up for a GT to make

I hate TTTs but if they neutralise this one because of that. When they neutralise something like the Crostis I understand.
But this? Seriously what is the problem with it. It's a bit of sand blown onto a road. Anybody who doesn't like it should not be doing an outdoor sport.
All the complaining by the peloton. it's worse than 2000 women all on their period.
First in Oman it's too hot. Then in Tirreno it's too cold and too much snow. Then in Wevelgem there's too much wind. Then in the Giro they rode too fast. Then they start complaining that transfers between stages are always too long even though the riders do those in luxurious busses that cost over a million each.

It not just a bit of sand blown onto a road, it's actually a sandy/dirt unpaved beach path that shifts under the riders wheels.

No it's not. Watch the pics were the guys are riding. It's perfectly fine to ride over.
Cyclo-cross in Koksijde that is loose sand.

I have been looking at the pics and the wheels do shift underneath, there are some good pics of it on cyclingnews, imagine what it will be like after a few teams go through on twitchy TT bikes at speed. I'm sorry but this was a mistake by the organises, I won't be surprised if the whole course gets neutralised and they award a stage winner but no time gaps
