Another second place from Cavendish, surely it must be his turn next |

I think I have narrowed down my list of human sacrifices I need to turn my season around... Like seriously, 91st in the stage dont give points!!!!

Well after 4 stages we are doing ok, with Matti Breschel (10th), Jerome Baugnies (13th) and Kenny DeHaes (19th) all at +0'51.
I wish the final stage had some more cobbles to help selection. I suspect breakaways will be tightly controlled and that we will not have much selection. Maybe a late attack could steal 15-20 seconds but hopes of anymore are very optimistic.

you can never be disappointed in a team when there making such sensible tactical decisions like sending Bellis in the break and then 5 out of the seven riders make the split good riding |

Haussler didn't win, that's a positive for Trentin. Boonen and Haussler looks to be just short, but not sure about those intermediate sprints on the final stage. Hopefully it will be a great battle, just with Trentin still edging out in the GC..
I agree with sutty, Cav deserves a win
Thanks for the report

Haha, well that is almost the worst possible stage result for us. Lost Pozzato 2 GC places.
There was a big chance of this happening though, so it was to be expected.
He should be able to hang on to the fourth spot in the last stage.

Very important win by Boonen. Should guarantee the GC podium and the last stage could even lift him to runner up spot so it looks like yet another fine stage race for us.
Strong leadout by the whole team and executed well. That's what I hoped when sending such a strong team.
Seeing how Geschke performs in this race I am sure that I definitely used him wrong. Instead of using him as leader in easy hilly / hard flat races I should have used him as leadout rider or super domestique on cobbles. At least I do know now who will drag Boonen (76 CB ) to another podium in Roubaix next season.
Spoiler What to expect on the final stage? Probably a succeding late attack by Dzamastagic, no less than 7 Gazelle riders, Summerhill and someone from Puma. Eventhough Puma wins the stage cio will be disapppinted because his riders aint do shit against the other promotion favourites all season long. Vantomtom gets a strong 137. Place which is Btw the best season result for Tom Tom.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

First breakaway appearance in the race, finally.
Guess it'll be 10 ranking points when it's over... what isn't worst case, but barely better.

Thus completes a horrible nil pointer attempt at defending last year's win for Eritel, and to top it off, Schlechter and Afewerki lost out in the splits
Time to move on and forget this race as soon as possible.

No attacks across five days is disappointing, but at least Kump sprinted few times and made the right splits, PCT is definitely his level..
Thanks Froomedog for great reports and well done to Risa for their awesome win.

That was more exciting than I was hoping for. Trentin very isolated in the end, so thrilled that the group managed to come together. Brilliant win by Summerhill though, which concluded a bunch of thrilling reports. Thanks FroomeDog!

Visconti/Afewerki doing well. Here's hoping they won't destroy those GC results on final day
Ouch! Pity Visconti got caught in this split to lose big minutes. Well, at least O'Shea did well. And 22nd in the GC adds some points, too. Shouldn't have happened though!
Thanks for all the reports, FD!

Yup, absolutely 0 points out of this.
Never thought I'd ever have one of those races again after we got out of the 'development lineup' age, even less so in a HC race.
At least I know what race to pinpoint at the end of the season when it's about where our promotion hopes started to fade.
Congratulations to Risa, great reports FroomeDog.
One last thing. Breaks. Have you heard of them?

Wuääh... glad this one is over as the last stage couldn't improve our mood. Missed the opportunity to leave our footprints in the greater Dunkerque area. We'll have a Spezi for the first points scored by Oscar Gatto, but had other results in mind when we hired him.
Gratz to Risa and thanks for the reports, FroomeDog!

Thanks for the neat reports FD, surprised to see this race blow out quite as much, 1st stage was quite devastating. Great results for Risa, Azteca and Karcher (4th and 6th) - these points are certainly going to cause a tightening up in the midfield PCT table. Even without a flashy victory, the Gazelle steam-roller still hoovering up plenty of points with multiple scorers. Even with a late attempt to save face, Maes has had a pretty disappointing cobbled season. Thomas is another that has failed to live up to expectations as far as I can recall (admittedly I can be quite flaky!).

I can be happy about this race. Expectations fulfilled and gain some points on some ranking rivals.
A shame that Geschke lost contact with that group but it had to be expected.

This wasn't an awful race for us over four stages, then Summerhill decides it's time to carry the team again, with great support from Coronel and wins us another stage, and moves up into 2nd on the GC. Great results!

What the hell was that? Random splits here and there and this time with my GC rider while two others are in front.
So in a field with boom, Vanmarcke, Nooytens, Krieger it is Scheit to score the most I think.
Next race please.
Thanks for the reports anyway. Were a nice read when ignoring the team. |
