Too bad for Once that Anton lost all hopes of a good result

Second flat stage survived without problems. As I interpret the results Evonik was very well placed throughout the stage. At least it is impressive when Kulppi as your worst placed rider still finish in the top 35.
Now to the interesting stages. The next stage is important to gain some time on the climbers. A Bayern-esque attack by LLS would be awesome.

Well shit...Clement with a great attempt...pity that he lost it in the end.
But really awful that probably him in the break stopped Aru/Olivier to attack, ending in the same group as Groenewegen....
I hope Clement will give it another attempt to get the KoM jersey now. Aru and Olivier pretty much have lost the race and I can`t see any scenario, where one of them is doing better tomorrow. |

Dang. At least Pedraza only lost a minute. Hopefully he'll attack in the mountain. |

Wow, Prevar is so damn smart by leaving that gap open, allowing Nepo to gain time on some rivals
Top 5 is more or less impossible to fail at now for Nepomnyachsniy, and if the next stage doesn't give a huge selection winning it may even be a possibility.

Kwiatek a little disappointing here :/
Poljanski will hopefully get into a break and I will be happy no matter the result

Impressive stuff from Valls. He might be a real contender for the win now.
That gap appearing behind Kangert and Koren made the stage for us. Not gaining any time on guys like Nerz and Krasnoperov in the hilly stage would've been bad for our top 7 chances.
Now we try to limit the damage in the next stage.

I'd be very pleased with a double top 10 finish... please?
Stage results have got better, 8th and 4th are points paying positions now onto that dreaded mountain stage, may the AI be as terrible as possible!

Stupid to lose time there, but the stage could've been more selective, so I'm not too mad. Still, tomorrow needs to see gaps that stay intact on the descent. Please.

Congrats to Euska, great stuff from Valls!
Makes me belive Anton could have done great here aswell if he didnt crash earlier, atleast finish in the big second group with the rest.
Also, this stage has been a somewhat of an achievement for us I think, first time nobody in top 100. Can't remember last time that happened to us atleast. Oh, and btw Landa, ur horseshit.

Damn, having 4 riders in the first group should be great, but disastrous that Bibby was not amongst them as he should have been.
Now to hope that Berhane can really go on the attack on the Mountain stage and gap the time triallists amongst that group.

Nice to see Beltran's snazzy NC jersey making an appearance. Talansky being attentive almost starts to give me some hope he is not a complete bag of washing - 2 more stages for him to return to default setting or confound expectations, which will it be? .

Well, when I saw Valls attack with LLS I certainly wouldn't of thought that he would take the stage win and gain a few crucial seconds. Now in the leaders jersey, hopefully Valls gets a bonus and attacks on to win the GC, that would be great for our season! At least we have the support to chase down and put pressure on the other leaders.

I'd count that as a miracle if we managed that, I wish 5th was clutching at straws for me
EDIT: it's a shame Zardini didn't gain any time back here, but it's nice o see Zoidl hanging in to only lose about a minute, hopefully he can get an unexpected decent GC finish by being decent everywhere. He might not be a particularly strong rider anywhere but he doesn't really have a weakness in this sort of race which will hopefully count for something.

When your sprinter is the best placed on a hilly stage, you know you're in trouble
Ps: I'm going on vacation starting tomorrow so do not be surprised if next week there is no feedback on my part

When I saw that they formed a duo I expected to see yet another LLS stage win. Congrats to the obvious stronger one in this stage!
I think it's kinda good that you have the jersey and not my Evonik guys as I don't have the mountain support to chase down mid stage attempts. Propably the best for everyone
Siskevicius as best guy is far from what LLS would need but all my climbers are out on loan to PT teams. Propably the best for everyone
Definitely hoped for a more selective stage. The size of the group that finished a minute down is incredible and I'm not happy about it. Quite a few pure climbers still in contention who I hoped to see gaped by now.
Next up is the crucial mountain stage. I hope that LLS can limit the losses and that the downhill can form some bigger groups.
It would be cool if one of my domestiques would go into the break to collect some mountain points for some additional ranking points.

Our lack of activity is frightening, c'mon it's a home race.
Next stage can and needs to be the turnaround. Manfredi seems to be in the perfect position to make it into the morning brake and the difficulty of the mountains to come will make Cataldo pass some of the better positioned punchers... nonetheless pressure is up for the race defining stage.
Hadn't Valls on the list for stage 4, gratz to a surprising win!

Nice seeing Reimer up there again, collecting points in the points Jersey competition. |
