3 more teams have today officially announced their squads, so it is time for another rider update for the Fantasy Tour de France.
If you have selected any of the following riders, you will need to make a change to your team:
Cyril Gautier, Mathieu Sprick, Johan Tschopp (Bouygues Telecom), Xavier Zandio (Caisse d'Epargne), Remy di Gregorio (Francaise des Jeux).
There is also 1 more new rider, who you may wish to pick:
PICHOT Alexandre
Bouygues Telecom

Bar any unexpected withdrawals or doping scandals, this means that there is only 1 spot left to be confirmed and that is of the 9th Quick Step rider. It is either going to be Tom Boonen or Allan Davis and it is not clear when the decision will be made over whether Boonen will be able to ride the Tour or not.
PCM.daily announces preliminary team list for next DB
As it's already been stated elsewhere, PCM.daily is now working on its next database project. Unlike the Expansion Pack, this one will be 'full sized' with everything that's worth adding in a DB.
Over the past few days, we've been adding teams to the DB. We also had a poll in the forum section where we asked you what focus, team-wise, the DB should have, and we believe that the selection of teams do reflect what you, the members, asked for. Either way, you can see the list of teams by clicking 'Read More'. This is a preliminary list, and it may change, although it's unlikely.
There's still no release date, simply because we've no idea yet. When we know, you'll know.
Around 50 teams have already entered our Fantasy Tour de France, which is great news - and if you haven't already please do take the time to enter a team. Now might be a great time to do just that, as we now have confirmation for the rosters of almost all the teams.
This inevitably means some of you will need to make changes to your teams though. Please make a new comment in either the original news article or this one or by PM to SportingNonsense with your edited team - do not edit your original post as I will most likely not notice any changes in it.
If you have selected any of the following riders, you need to change your team as they will not be riding:
Alexander Efimkin, John Gadret, Sebastien Hinault, Julien Loubet, Ludovic Turpin (Ag2r), Freddy Bichot, Jann Huguet, Christophe Laurent, Anthony Ravard (Agritubel), Marcus Burghardt (Columbia High Road), Mirko Lorenzetto, Marco Marzano, Massimiliano Mori, Simone Ponzi, Paolo Tiralongo, Volodymyr Zagordny (Lampre), Dominique Cornu, Kevin de Weerdt, Kevin Hulsmans, Kevin Seeldraeyers (Quick Step), Mitchell Docker, Theo Eltink, Tom Veelers, Robert Wagner (Skil-Shimano)
There are also now a few new riders available for selection.
GRABSCH Bert

PINEAU Jerome

TOSATTO Matteo

DE KURT Koen
Skil-Shimano

Remember that Friday is the last day for you to either enter or make changes to your team.
We've been receiving a lot of good ideas for our 1st competition to win Pro Cycling Manager 2009 - and thanks a lot for that. But as we also said in that news message, we've several copies of PCM that we'd like to give you. Therefore, it's now time to present the 2nd competition.
It's rather simple. If you bet your fantasy money on the winning rider in this bet, you're in the 'lottery' to win PCM09. Af those who've got the winner correctly, we'll pick one, and the winner will not only receive PCM$, but also Pro Cycling Manager 2009.
With the PCM.daily Expansion Pack released, the work on the next projects have started. For that, we're going to need some help, and we're quite confident that there's a lot of unused ressources out there ;)
We need several different 'talents'. People who are good at working with stats are more than welcome. So are stage makers and people who're good with Photoshop (to make team accessories, mini shirts, logos, etc.).
In general, if you feel that you can contribute in any way, send me a PM labelled "Database Crew" and let us know what you can help out with.
And for those who applied last time (as in a few weeks back), please re-apply.
