Cyanide to release new patch tomorrow
Pro Cycling Manager 2010

After having eagerly awaited the 1st patch, which was released last week, many of you have reported back several major issues, e.g. that it's not possible (for some) to start a season, that it's impossible get to the 2nd year of career, and that it's impossible to load LAN-games (and there's more...). Obviously, these are all very serious bugs, and Cyanide seems to have worked intensenly on a patch since the release of the 1st one.

According to Eyolfur, Cyanide employee, the patch will "probably be released Monday" (tomorrow). It also seems that Cyanide will release a tool which makes it possible to continue careers based on patch 1.0.1.6 with 1.0.1.7 fixes.

Thanks to ThunderBlaze for the tip.

Fantasy Cycling: Transfers for July
PCM.daily's Fantasy Cycling

Apologies for the lack of updates in terms of scores for the Fantasy game for a bit. Ive been busy most of the month, and I dont know when we will be able to post first May, and then June's scores.

But anyway, it is the end of the month now - and so time to make your all important transfers for July. The Tour de France is likely to dominate scoring, but that is not to say that you should ignore all other races. There are 3 HC stage races in Int. Österreich Rundfahrt, Tour of Qinghai Lake, and Tour de Wallonie, while the month ends with the San Sebastian Classic.

As always, you are limited to bringing 4 riders in, but can remove as many as you like - so long as you confirm to the limits of a minimum 16 riders altogether, of which at least 5 must be from ProContinental teams.

The deadline for making transfers this month is Friday July 2nd (The eve of the Tour), so make sure you get your changes in by then. You can post them as a comment to this article, or PM them to either myself or Rjc.

Patch for PCM10 released
Downloads

One day earlier than expected, the first patch for PCM10 has been released. It contains plenty of bug fixes - in fact, I don't remember a list of corrected bug fixes for PCM this long.

As 'warned' a couple of days ago, there's not any extra stages although the Pau to Tourmalet stage now shows up correctly. You can view the entire list of fixes by clicking "Read More". Or, perhaps as a better solution, just download the patch and read the list when the installation is done ;)

Cyanide gives a few details on the patch
Pro Cycling Manager 2010

Update, 23rd of June: According to some sources, the patch will be available on Friday.

In a forum post on the official forum, Cyanide has revealed a few minor details of the upcoming patch for PCM10. In fact, the post is primarily meant to answer some of the critism that have been directed at Cyanide for not including enough stages with the game.

In response to this, they say that they have been asked to make the patch as small as possible, making it impossible for them to include more stages with the 1st patch. Instead, you will have to wait for the 2nd patch for more stages. The 1st patch is primarely aimed at bug fixes, and according to Cyanide, it has already been sent to 'validation' - meaning that it shouldn't be long before it's released.

For those who have already started a career, it's been mentioned that a tool that can synchronize the DB-differences between the patch's DB and your save games may be provided.

A fine title: Stat Assistants for the PCM.daily DB
News

As we mentioned on the 12th of June, PCM.daily is currently implementing the prologue stat to its 2010 DB - the first and most time-taking step (well, aside from the re-making of all the races, of course...) of converting the DB to PCM10.

Basically, we need some assistance to fill out the new prologue column for all the riders in the DB. You don't need PCM10 or any editing skills - we'll send you a document with the riders and their current skills - plus an empty column for you to fill out.

We currently have the following countries covered: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Portugal, USA and Germany.

If you're interested, please send me a PM.
