PCM10 released (too) early in Germany
Pro Cycling Manager 2010

While the Germans officially had to wait until the 25th of June to get hold of the game, at least one member of the German cycling community Cyclingmanager.de has managed to buy a copy from one of the regular shops - meaning that he's now playing the game 6 days before the international release day...

Luckily for us, he doesn't keep it all to himself - he's uploaded a few screenshots, and we'll make sure to keep our new General PCM10 Screenshots section updated as we get more screenshots.

Thanks to EintrachtFan for the tip.

PCM.daily looking for PRL-stat-helpers
News

While we're still putting the finishing touches to the PCM.daily 2010 DB for PCM09, we also have a PCM10 DB in mind. Unlike last year, converting is a tad more difficult, though, for two reasons: 1) The stage files are no longer compatible, and with no extra races, there's not much sense in adding a lot of extra teams. Some can be added, though. 2) There are a lot of riders in the PCM.daily DB, and with the prologue stat, we now have to change at least two stats (TT and PRL) for all riders.

Luckily, we've known this for a a certain period of time, meaning that we do have some countries covered - but there's still plenty of riders to get through. Therefore, we're now looking for some people who're interested in lending us a helping hand. The job is quite simple: You go through a country's riders, check their results and see whether they are any good in prologues (compared to time trials), then give them a stat based on this.

Following countries have already been done: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Portugal.

If you wish to help out with the riders from another country than the ones listed, send me a PM. The faster it's done, the faster will PCM.daily release a DB for PCM10.

Thanks.

New PCM10 stat confirmed
Pro Cycling Manager 2010

As (partly) revealed yesterday in the comments section of a news article here at PCM.daily, it's now fully confirmed that a new stat has been introduced to PCM10 - and it's one that the community has been asking for for several years: the prologue stat.

One of those who've already pre-downloaded the game, Chester00, has opened the PCM10 database with the Full Editor V4, which is also compatible with the new game, and has discovered it along with the other usual stats.

With the new stat, it's now possible to make a rider such as Hushovd good at the short time trials and prologues and less good at the long time trials. The exact details of how it works is still yet to be revealed.

Speaking of stats, Chester00 also uploaded the stats of the best riders in the main stats. You can find the screenshots in our PCM10 Screenshot Section.

PCM.daily Betting Competition: Win PCM10!
Pro Cycling Manager 2010

With Cyanide having opened for pre-downloading PCM10, many of you may already be looking for your credit cards - but hold your breath. During the next couple of days, PCM.daily will put a few digital versions of PCM10 on stake in a couple of competitions.

The first copy will be given away tomorrow when the legendary Alpe d'Huez has been climbed in the Dauphine Libere. If you guess the right winner in our Fantasy Betting game, you'll be in the pot when we draw the winner between those who've guessed right.

Everyone have been given 10 PCM$, so even if you had already wasted your last fantasy bucks on previous bets, you're now able to take part ... or use them on some of the other bets if you prefer that ;)

Good luck to everyone.

Focus opens for pre-downloading PCM10
Pro Cycling Manager 2010

A few minutes ago, Focus opened for pre-downloading Pro Cycling Manager 2010. This means that it's now possible to buy and pre-download the game, so that you're ready to begin playing when you receive your key on the 17th.

The price has increased by 5 € compared to last year, going from 39.99 € to 44.99 €. Although I haven't checked yet, I suppose that there's one again different prices, depending on where you come from. Americans will get a price in $ while the Brits should get the price in £.
