Not the worst year for scary trainings - although most are already known. Kudus to 85MT is huge, I wonder how that will change the GT dynamic? Definitely makes him an even more imposing figure.
Gesbert to 80HIL is also interesting, he has solid MT and amazing energy stats but average ACC. I wonder if that might hold him back just a little? Reminds me of a weaker Bakelandts (minus his sprint and acc). Will be fun to follow
Gamper and Sivakov also interesting.

On the Joao Rodrigues training: is it allowed to get 3 increases? The rules aren't absolutely clear on this, and Ulrich even asked a question in the training thread to clarify this - unfortunately it remained unanswered.
I am fine with leaving it like that, because of unclear rules - but we should try to find a phrasing that makes it clear whether it's 2 trainings per rider, or 2 low-stat exemption trainings per rider, but an unlimited amount of "normal" training. Iirc it was always 2 trainings per rider no matter the type, but the rules aren't 100% clear this year.

That`s correct.
Haven`t checked the Rodrigues training enough I guess as just saw it in the sheet and did a quick copy paste.
But yes, it is supposed to be 2 trainings per rider max as it was in the past as well I guess.
So, the Rodrigues training will likely need a -1 in flat again. |

According to the current list above (which might be subject to change), Aker - MOT are this year's training champions:
Team | Money | Aker - MOT | € 4’250’000 | ELCO - ABEA | € 4’075’000 | King Power | € 3’200’000 | Moser - Sygic | € 2’800’000 | Team Puma - SAP | € 2’600’000 | Xero Racing | € 2’600’000 | Gjensidige Pro Cycling Team | € 2’225’000 | Assa Abloy | € 2’200’000 | Los Pollos Hermanos | € 1’850’000 | Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo PCTeam | € 1’825’000 | Binance | € 1’825’000 | Carlsberg - Danske Bank | € 1’700’000 | EA Vesuvio | € 1’700’000 | Cedevita | € 1’550’000 | Sony - Force India | € 1’400’000 | Tinkoff - La Datcha Team | € 1’400’000 | Fastned | € 1’400’000 | DuckDuckGo - Everesting | € 1’300’000 | ISA - Hexacta | € 1’300’000 | Indosat Ooredoo | € 1’200’000 | DK Zalgiris | € 1’200’000 | Tryg - Gobik | € 1’000’000 | ZARA - Irizar | € 850’000 | Zwift Pro Cycling | € 850’000 | Evonik - ELKO | € 700’000 | Lidl Cycling | € 700’000 | Kraftwerk Man Machine | € 700’000 | Team UBS - Tissot | € 675’000 | cycleYorkshire | € 350’000 | Gazelle | € 275’000 | Team Würth MODYF | € 225’000 | SEE Turtles | € 150’000 | Lampre - Pinarello | € 125’000 | MOL Cycling Team | € 100’000 |
And Mountain is - probably as usual - the preferred stat to train. However, when we count the number of stat increases with a target value of 80+, we get a pretty well-balanced picture:
Stat | # Increases | # 80+ | Mountain | 21 | 5 | Hill | 15 | 5 | TT | 13 | 3 | Sprint | 9 | 3 | Cobbles | 7 | 3 | Flat | 2 | 0 | Acceleration | 1 | 0 |
However, the number of riders concerned by an 80+ training is "only" 17, as Kanter and Areruya got two of them each (both 79 -> 81 in a stat).
I'm glad I don't have a top puncheur in PCT, given the trainings of Benoot, Gesbert, Moscon and also Eiking (CT) - my puncheurs were behind those anyway, so that doesn't change much On the other hand, Gidich is the only 80+ puncheur training in PT... And by the way, I'm looking forward to see what Moscon can do with that training; considered doing it as well, but with Schmid maxing next year decided against it. Happy to see that quadsas is trying it out
Personally, not overly happy with Dunbar's TT training (although I'd have done the same), but he's another rider who already was stronger than mine anyway, so it could've been worse. The Hooydonck and Gamper trainings are the ones I really don't like, now that I finally have a puncheur

Not as insanely crazy of a training period as it could have been. With the lack of sales I kind of expected more to be honest. Gjensidige must be a training record for CT though? Huge numbers there.
Overall, not the worst for our needs. Only 3 cobbles trainings on leaders that challenge Per's. 2 are in PCT and still below Per ability wise, Anderberg is big for PT, but still has Wisniowski above him in the pecking order this year anyway. Happy to not see any Pedersen or Kasperkiewicz training especially. A bunch of TT trainings to knock Kamna down the pecking order a little, but it's not like he was a favorite at this level anyway. Some of the mountain and hill trainings will hurt our guys, but that was always gonna happen. And sprint continues to be seldom trained as it isn't reliable enough return, which keeps AKA in a decent spot.
Looking forward ot the DB and confirming my planner, this is gonna be quite a fun season!

Yeah if Rodrigues can do +3 stats, then I'd like to reconsider my trainings atleast
Pretty happy to see that only one sprinter besides Farantakis took a jump upwards. Both for Farantakis and Coquard that is very good news.
The TT stupidity seems to continue though. Might look for other options in the future

Feels like we had more people taking advantage of the new <67 exemption than of the old 10 Stat rule - but also that these were still put onto higher end riders for a net zero impact (+we got use of the change, -still not useful on mid/low-tier riders). [I havn't done a side-by-side comparison to previous years]
I do appreciate Gjensidige blowing the curve in a year of really low CT training overall
