Stage 1: Noirmoutier-En-L'Ïle - Fontenay-Le-Comte
Flat. Mostly close to the ocean. No wind reported, though. A small climb with the first polkadot jersey of the race on the line at 173kms in. 3, 2 and 1 bonus seconds to be grabbed at the B-Sprint 13kms from the finish, and the first yellow jersey in a bunch sprint at Fontenay - if nothing completely crazy happens.

Fernando Gaviria (QuickStep)
Marcel Kittel (Katusha)
Mark Cavendish (Dimension Data)
Andre Greipel (Lotto-Soudal)
A few outsider picks include Peter Sagan, Arnaud Demare, Alexander Kristoff or Sonny Colbrelli.

Haven't been around here much of late, but TdF stage threads are still a thing, right? 
There's a breakaway on the road consisting of Kevin Ledanois (Fortuneo), Yoann Offredo (Wanty) and Jerome Cousin (Direct Energie). Gaviria, Greipel and Demare take spots 4-6 at the intermediate sprint.

I think stage threads should still be a thing. I remember last year the last stage thread before someone changed it to week was super long 
Feel bad for Craddock so far, sucks to crash hard and early. Cheering for Greipel mostly to win but also Laporte, and then Smith if he is Wanty's man again for the top 10

Awesome to have a stage thread.. much more organized and more specific stuff, I can do it but if there's any issue there are plenty of us who are willing to create a thread for every stage.
I missed Craddock's crash I think, I didn't notice anything.. What really happened?
