Team Sky is ironic addition, right? For me, Quick Step. Pretty insane season they were having in terms of classic and stage wins. Sunweb close second.

- Giro win for Dumoulin
- 4 stage wins at the Tour between Matthews and Barguil (2 each)
- Anticlimatic green jersey at the Tour for Matthews
- Dumoulin winning ITT WC, not unexpectedly
- Unexpected TTT WC win against teams that were better on paper
I'd say these are the top 5 reasons. I don't see how Orica or UAE deserved the spot more than them. Movistar hasn't had a particularly amazing season this time around, while Sunweb definitely went against all odds to acheive so much after losing Degenkolb.
