With Trentino, Geraardsbergen and Gisborne GP the February had three big C2HC events. In addition C1 events in Gent and Castelo as also Almaty, a C2 classic in Barcelona and some teams even decided to go to the HC classic Strade Bianche. Hence a classic prone month except for Trentino but lots of scoring.
Sprinter teams must have gone to Barcelona, where Kulczyk scored the most, just ahead of Phillips and Sauber though. Also Proximus did well there.
On hte cobbles Goldcorp won in Geraardsbergen but got outscored by Sauber and Phillips and almost equally with WCC. Surprisingly most of them didn`t perform or ride in the other two C1 classics. Goldcorp with a decent Castelo, just like Eddie Stobart and WCC.
Though almost no CT performance in Gent. WCC more or less only "scoring" team there with 19 points.
The hills then were mainly seen in Gisborne. Xero with a homa dominance outperformed them all. WCC, Kulczyk or Reddit still with a solid race there.
Almaty then saw mini points only. In-n-Out with 20 and Campari with 9 at least. Similar in Strade Bianche, which was the first HC event for this years CT teams. But 5 for WCC and the others with 0 shows the difference to PCT teams.
Last but not least Trentino. 183 points for Kulczyk and easily best. Balkan at 112, Xero 105 or Campari 92 still with a good race. Also Repsol or SanCor must be quite happy while Azteca did score okay but far too less seeing their lineup.
Hence Xero with a strong Gisborne and decent Trentino climb to the top of the rankings but only 2 points ahead of Kulcyzk! Definitely two strong promotion candidates.
Repsol and Philips next also with a small gap while Azteca takes the last spot for the moment, which means In-n-Out as top favourite drops out of this area. Just like Telia with a weak February.

Individually Penasa with his dominant Trentino now at the top having scored almost all the point there after a disappointing Tachira.
Valls still the most consistent stage racer so far with 2 good events while Karnulin had this one brilliant stage, that makes him climb to 3rd.
Bennett with a stage win in Trentino and then the huge win in Gisborne well deserved next ahead of Cataldo as consistent mid scoring option.
Haller then the first sprinter and Hugenhaben as best puncheur with Roux just behind.
Van Keirsbulck as 11th best cobbler and clearly getting more chances in future.

A disappointing month for Reddit. Monfort at Gisborne thankfully compensated a lot. Still it's good to see that we got a few more race days left than our rivals, so I hope we can do something good with them. |

Dario Cataldo is very fine, but the other riders not able to score much, hope to see that change.

February was better than expected even with the complete failure in GW. Things slow down for us in March and April, so it's expected we'll fall back a bit in that period. Geraardsbergen-Bosberg was the highlight race, despite us missing our Win Goal. Barcelona was a welcome pleasant surprise. Still some way to go but I'll be delighted if we can keep this up.

Huge jump for us! Most pleased about the big shift in PPRD. Looking like WCC is coming fast, and it seems that missing out on Tachira was a fruitful decision.
Can't ask for much more from the squad thus far, and Bayern Rundfahrt will be a very interesting test. If Hacecky and Mullen can navigate the slight undulations, we could be in a good place to take some serious points away from the race...
Still though, congrats to Xero, jandal has made some changes to the squad over the transfer season and they're paying off in a big way!

I guess we have to be happy with where we are, sitting near the top while our main leaders have yet to really get things going. Lots of racing left for us on courses we much prefer including our HC events which could allow for some huge points with decent results.

Good start for Xero and Kulczyk, In-n-Out lacking a bit so far but I predict they will join the promotion fight as well with some teams like WCC. Will be interesting to see things develop in the coming months.

Xero, Kulczyk, Repsol, Phillips!
Most amazing thing is that Xero has had several crashes and bad luck races already, yet still reaches the top. Kulczyk is also going amazingly, congrats guys!

February went a lot better for us than January did, we need to keep this push going over the next couple of months though as we kick off march with our first goal race (Top 5 Bayern Rundfahrt) and have 2 home races in April (SMHC and Langkawi) where we want to at least put on a good showing for the fans.

Really bad month for us. Trentino was a total bust (although Baltazar contributed with some surprising points), and Flaksis didn't do well in the cobbles. Also Passalacqua struggled in Gisborne but that wasn't much of a surprise.
March we have only two races, Bayern Rundfahrt should suit our time-trialists and Romandie we also expect an atleast average performance.

Third is not bad, but after being leading in January, it's a little disappointing. Anyway, the month has not been good, with Valls, despite finishing in the podium in Trentino, not been to able to score barely anything else on the race, and two bad races in GB and Gisborne.
March will see us drop outside the promotion places, at least in PPRD, as we are in Romandie apart from Bayern-Rundfahrt

Wow Wasn't expecting that but will certainly take it! Very special little moment and reward for us but a long road ahead to promotion. Very close to Kulczyk and obviously March could easily be a near-dud month for us whilst they should do well. Also nice to see Philips out of 6th and into the top 5 where I hope they'll stay

Alright, short update on the correlations of the different pre-season predictions:
It's still very early with some stars not having done much yet so be cautious to take anything from this:
| #2 | Prediction | 1. | 0,8014 | Vien | 2. | 0,7871 | Matt17br | 3. | 0,7512 | Aquarius97 | 4. | 0,7134 | Croatia's Sustainable Quocient Prediction | 5. | 0,6975 | Jandal's jandally CT Preview | 6. | 0,6898 | Knockout's CT Prediction | 7. | 0,6892 | Tamijo's Mathestimat | 8. | 0,6860 | SN's Slightly Mathematical CT Preview | 9. | 0,6671 | AbishekLFC's CT 2017 Rankings - Co-efficient Based | 10. | 0,6089 | Marcovdw's OVR Final Ranking |
High correlations already throughout. Vien stays on top as most subjective predictions look slightly better than the formula-based ones. In fact the top three predictions right now are the subjective ones from the "lazy wizards" thread.
Behind them it's close. Croatia's predictions rises a bit while mine is falling a bit.
Spoiler
Main predictions highlighted, Explanations in the update #1 thread
- I added a "Number of stats over 78" prediction that trek suggested in the skype thread.
