2017 HC Race Choices

Next to PTHC there is still the former HC race category. Those are mainly for PCT teams though as PT teams no longer can race those.
There will be a chance for CT teams to enter those in case they want to challenge the stronger PCT teams. This will happen after the progress for PCT teams though.

There are 4 bands of 20 race days each. All PCT teams will race 3 of those.
This means that the PCT teams spend 60 of their 140 race days in HC events.

Here as well a priority list is needed but with 26 teams going for bands of 24 open spaces, it`s far more unlikely that you won`t get your top choices at least. So you can PM me your choices as soon as you like!


It`s important to PM me your list with the title: HC Band Choices - Team Name to avoid any misunderstandings with PTHC bands.

Those are some tough bands in the PCT! There is no 'bad' band to choose from

Yes. CT pay race days and get points.
Though CT is not selecting bands here but instead can go to single races with open spots.

Btw, would a race like Barbados Cycling Festival have the "sprint race bonus system", the same that's being used in Tour of Qatar etc?

Tour of Vancouver suits our sponsor's demand well. Hopefully the team's nationallity (Canadian) would be a plus in the wildcard selection (provided that there is a spot availlable)

Yes. Basically all sprinter only races without a hill/mountain stage or without a TT has this system.

I understand your pain - in my case no C2HC is interesting for me; In fact the two interesting races are C2 and HC race.

There are lots of Belgium Races in PTHC and C1 though. So lots of races you can ride. In fact Belgium might be one of the countries with most races/classics in total.
