2 months of MG without an update. Hence highly time for one.
The main events for the CT division surely was the climber events in Langkawi and Scotland. But also Azerbaijan and Euskal Bizikleta offered a lot for stage racers, while the Barcelona Classic, Windhoek ITT, Busan GP and Tour of Almaty offered something for the classic riders, sprinters and time trialists.
C1 events obviously took place as well and teams from the lowest division were here and there but it`s most times not the biggest points for them in comparison to C2HC in especially.
A short note: The Olympia Tour is not finished yet and hence is not part of this update!
In April Kraftwerk gained the biggest amount in Langkawi by scoring big on many stages and actually lost a lot of points due to several breaks succeeding. Smaller points in Busan GP and Almaty see them dominating the April rankings.
Ferrero scored in several races including the top scorer in South Africa and hence follow in the month with La Poste just behind due to a very similar scoring. Most come from South Africa, while also Langkawi worked well for them.
Podium Ambition at the lower top10 in April though were top scorers in Busan GP and Almaty while TVM - Beslist took the prime in de Panne for the CT teams with very nice 57 points from a C1 race. Nothing against the 135/128 points for Ferrero/La Poste in South Africa though.
Azerbaijan as last April event saw Ticos Air as best scorer but it`s their only points this period.

Again Kraftwerk is one of the top scoring teams. Best in Barcelona Classic and Euskal Bizikleta sees them continueing their favourite promotion hunt.
Though MOL - OMV was a bit stronger even due to winning the Tour of Scotland, which offered the months biggest amount of points. In general teams performing well there had a good month.
Sauber with a nice steady scoring with a decent visit in C1 Japan and The Spark as winner of Windhoek ITT also in the top area.

So now let`s check the total rankings.
Kraftwerk with two high scoring months take over the CT lead! In fact they have quite a gap now.
Behind them a duo of Ferrero and Podium Ambition with a nice fight for the podium spots.
Another gap and then Isostar, Carlsberg, Mol - OMV, Sauber, Chiquita or cycleYorkshire all fight for the promotion area. Couple more are not far behind them and obviously could attack this area quickly with one big result.

Though another factor is the number of race days used so far. The range goes from 43 to 67 race days so far and hence this could and most likely will change the final rankings a lot.
No changes in the top4 though as those 4 teams also remain in the PpRD ranking.
Though Chiquita, who lost quite a bit in the total points this period haven`t raced a lot and hence come back into the top5 in the projected ranking. Also La Poste or New Balance climb a bit here, while Carlsberg or MOL - OMV drop just like Sauber.
The teams at the bottom area really could need a big result soon as other teams score as many points in one race as their total so far.

The stage racers still dominate the individual ranking. Though Tvetcov takes over from Anton while Hacecky improved a lot this month and makes the last podium spot due to his excellent Langkawi.
With Garby, De la Cruz, Sella and Pomoshnikov more stage racers in the top area at the moment.
Stauff easily being the dominant CT sprinter and shows this also in the rankings climbing a lot after his success in Langkawi and Barcelona Classic being a big factor for Kraftwerk`s success.
Geraint Thomas as best cobbler and Hugentobler as puncheur ahead of stronger riders Barbin and Klemme while Dowsett as 17th a bit below expectations.

It's easy to identify why we've struggled recently. Yates with less points than Grashev... yeah there's the problem. Promotion still looking relatively comfortable though and i can't really ask for more than that.

I'm still predicting the promtion cut-off at around 9th/10th. And that could set-up one hell of a rankings fight with 9th to 15th projected within ~100 points of each other. Bring it on!

Been looking forward to this update as is hard to keep track how everyone is doing across their various schedules. The top 3 have continued to demonstrate consistent strong performances that put them well out in front of the pack - well done guys. Now that the season has developed, the top twenty riders takes on a pretty sensible looking lokk, not too many surprises in their now versus in earlier months without many races on the board.
WCC still chugging along just outside our sponsor target top 15 performance, just slipping inside when our more limited RD's taken into consideration (but given this is mainly due to later RD's on Tour of America, not much of a points haul can be expected their, so ppRD will actually take a hit  ).

I've just been taking a closer look and want to flag what might be an error. I was expecting a bigger points haul in April for WCC as Langkawi went really quite well - with 3rd 5th and 15th in GC that on it's own should secure more than 100 ranking points if I am reading things correctly (it is C2HC right?). With good stage results, places in minor competitions, etc. on top, can't see how WCC only brought home the listed 90 points in April? We also had other RD's in April, but not as successful outings. I've not been through it with a fine-toothcomb as yet - can do if it is not easily flagged up in the files you have to hand roturn.

We are continuing to battle for the top 10 in the rankings, both in points where we have made it and in the projected where we are set to miss out by just 2 points.
Also it is amazing to see Hugentobler still up there and battling away in 10th on the Individual rankings, I never expected him to do this well and is a really nice surprise and helps make up for how disappointing Kung has been. Also it is surprising to see Zoidl not scoring that well but if he has been anonymous if he's been racing much recently as I don't remember him doing anything positive or negative.

Indeed there was a small error regarding your team. Will check this tomorrow a bit closer.
Should have about 70-80 points more from Langkawi. Will fix this later. |

Drop in the rankings due to not too many race days, and those where not quite fruitful as well. Hoping for better things to come in the next months, but the projected rankings look good! Thanks roturn for the update

I think Kraftwerk wouldn't stand a chance in PCT, the league is way too strong for the in their area of specialities. Ferrero would easily survive though due to depth. Sounds strange but Kraftwerk wouldn't score the big pointers whilst Ferrero would be everywhere like Lemmings.

Anton carried us so far, but we are nowhere near we wanted to be at this point. His season is basically over, and no other guy has scored more than 81 points for us so far. Tough times ahead...

And it`s fixed now I think.
You scored additional 78 points in Langkawi.
Due to a problem with Karagobek he wasn`t given the Langkawi points. |

ToSA really saved my April points haul and very happy I took the risk to go there. May points haul... could have been better than I think the result in Euskal was the big part of that.
PpRD average gives me some hope for a nice position come the end of the year, but we need some big performances between now and then. Looks like we have used less RDs than others, so need to make those count in the catch up.
