Liege - Bastogne - Liege
A Classic Route for a Classic Race
To finish off this Ardennes Week that starts off with Amstel Gold Race to venture into Fleche - Wallonne before the week ends off in Liege. As always the race starts there to go toward Bastogne before making a large U-Turn toward Liege again. The PT punchers come to this race with heavy legs with many kilometers in their sore legs. Being an Ardennes Classic with several significant winners in the past, this is top tier in the MG World. Let's have a look at the riders for this 249 km long race!
The startlist should be the same like the two previous races this week, so once more they have a chance to go for the big win in a short amount of time. We have had two different winners unlike last year, so perhaps a 3rd rider will get the chance or Ponzi just used FW as a warm-up race!

I know it is a boring prediction but i see Ponzi once again as favourite. A top 5 is what i expect from Skujins in most hilly classics and that's what i want to see here..
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Well Prevar, time to show you're actually an amazing rider! Fleche Wallone 21st was good already, top 20 now?

Twice missing the top15...hope De Bie can improve here. 81 hill and 70+ sprint surely can do a bit better than that.
Win Goal as well btw. |

Thank you for the preview, sgdanny!
It's a win goal, but admittedly I don't have any major hopes of it happening after the performances in AGR and FW. Hopefully EBH can position himself well and be alert. I rather have him try and possibly fail than just possibly fail.
Kind of fancying Spilak for this one, if I'm going with an outsider. If not, Trofimov is my bet. |

No expectations at all anymore, we're well above the points haul I dreamed of for the Ardennes week.
I'd probably like to see Hagen win more than Kelderman, so go Eddy! Spilak going well would also be nice.

Win goal! Our chance of reaching the goal is pretty small, but I hope we can at least come close. Ginanni is in good form, so I have a good feeling about this.

Sorry guys for lack of comments from my side recently. I know it´s not respectful towards reporters or/and anyone standing behind scene.
The thing is I need to find any motivation to follow MG again. Atm I have no pleasure from this game, that ridiculously awful gameplay is killing everything great I experienced here for all long years.
However, I hope I´ll change my attitude before being kicked out from game

Would be amazing if Ponzi could grab a win here. Along with Lombardia this is a massive opportunity to win a major race in what will probably be our last as well as first PT season for a while. |

Another top 10 here would be a solid result Mr Sagan!
EBH to finally win is my (optimistic) pick here!

The first goal of the season here - And the most difficult. I need Simon Spilak to win in order to get my goal achievement. When looking at him getting 6th at Amstel Gold Race expectations are not high though. He wasn't there in Fleche Wallone, where Koretzky was 11th. Here I have both. I hope for two in top 20 and atleast one of them well inside top 10.

So everybody has a sponsorgoal mine is top-3, but I should have chosen top-3 for Amstel and Fleche (instead of Liege and Lombardia). Nice preview sgdanny!

PCM AI is great
We didn't really do anything today, but at least Prevar was in the main group somewhere, so that's good I guess.

The winner, wow... Congrats Count, I guess!
Quite decent show from my team even through Sagan missed on a top 10 result - Boroš in the breakaway and 12th for Vakoc is a great result, same as 14th for Sagan is acceptable.
Thanks for the report sgdanny!

Congrats Count.
Somehow a bit interesting to see a classic break win.
De Bie goes out of the Ardennes week without a top15 even...pure disappointment.
Either he is trained after this season or kicked out the office.
Villella in 16th here showing once again his big potential!
Thanks for the report! |

This is the Man-Game's very own Lombardia 2011 I guess, and Fritsch's our very own Zaugg. But really, this shouldn't have happened.
Congrats CA! Good season so far isn't it?

That's amazing. Big congratulations, CountArach! Though, feel sorry for Crommy as well, as that was an "obvious" LBL win missed. Would kind of have understood it if a break won AGR or FW, like a breakaway won in Fleche some years ago, but just very surprising to see it happen in such a tough monument.
For EBH, the report is right. It's obviously not good enough with 6th place as the only top 10 placing from the Ardennes. On the other hand 6th is by far his best result this week, so hopefully it means there's hope for Lombardia. At least I believe
Thank you for the report, sgdanny! |
