Tour of Vancouver
Welcome to the 2016 Tour of Vancouver, the race with 7 days of circuits, countless intermediate sprints and KOM points, a mountain prologue, 3 sprint finishes, 2 tough summit finishes and a team time trial to finish it off. Plenty of exciting racing to be sure at least!
Favourites: | Mo | Hl | TTT | PRL | | Mo | Hl | TTT | PRL | Amador | 84 | 75 | 74 | 77 | Valls | 79 | 75 | 67 | 72 | Úran | 82 | 74 | 70 | 78 | Brenes | 79 | 73 | 72 | 69 | Intxausti | 82 | 71 | 72 | 77 | Pozzovivo | 79 | 75 | 67 | 71 | Contador | 81 | 75 | 72 | 73 | Anacona | 79 | 74 | 68 | 66 | Ricco | 81 | 79 | 72 | 69 | Atapuma | 78 | 73 | 67 | 62 | Monsalve | 81 | 76 | 70 | 72 | Chamorro | 78 | 75 | 70 | 64 | Duarte | 80 | 68 | 67 | 75 | Ablenado | 78 | 67 | 67 | 72 | Pinot | 80 | 74 | 64 | 65 | Signorini | 78 | 69 | 72 | 65 | Nazaret | 80 | 71 | 71 | 65 | Rodrigues | 78 | 73 | 69 | 67 | Ji | 80 | 75 | 67 | 69 | Lövkvist | 78 | 75 | 71 | 73 | Shikai | 80 | 71 | 67 | 76 | Meintjes | 78 | 76 | 72 | 69 | Brajkovic | 80 | 75 | 69 | 77 |
*TTT is average TT stat of the team
Reigning champion Contador is back once again but this time he faces stiff competition, Amador is easily the best climber here and has a great team time trial squad behind him too, making him the outstanding favourite. Úran with his recent Criterium International win in his belt as well as Intxausti also are the great climbers here who should pose threats to the Costa Rican.
Alongside them, Brajkovic has won before but seeing a repeat seems unlikely but not impossible, while Monsalve and Ricco might not be quite the best on the climbs but can never be counted out.
Also vying for the win here is a long list of climbers, Shikai, Duarte, Ji, Nazaret and Pinot to name a few possible contenders.
Sprinters | SP | ACC | Hl | | SP | ACC | Hl | Vanderbiest | 82 | 77 | 64 | Modolo | 78 | 81 | 73 | Itami | 80 | 82 | 61 | Park | 78 | 77 | 63 | Haussler | 80 | 76 | 70 | Mansilla | 77 | 78 | 71 | Impey | 80 | 81 | 73 | Kuboki | 77 | 77 | 73 | Bouhanni | 80 | 77 | 63 | Afewerki | 77 | 80 | 63 | Kump | 79 | 80 | 76 | Opie | 77 | 77 | 66 | Matthews | 79 | 79 | 64 | Kvist | 77 | 78 | 65 | Sonnery | 78 | 73 | 70 | Tleubayev | 77 | 77 | 66 |
Of course there are some stages not for the GC specialists, three sprint stages mean there’s a handful of sprinters here, led by French champion Vanderbiest, but he’ll face strong opposition from Impey, Itami, Haussler, Bouhanni, Matthews and Kump. Particularly for Kump and Impey if some of the hilly circuits prove tougher than reckoned – stage 6’s final straight tends upwards.

We're here to win the shit out of the TTT and because of bands choice
Would be surprising if Amador didn't win.

Pinot is capable of a top 10 here... until you see our TTT team. We'll be last no doubt, but wonder how many minutes behind we are |

I'm here for the sprins and nothing else it seems. We can't fight for the green jersey, but hopefully a couple of podiums
Thanks trekbmc! |

Nice preview! I've been looking forward to this one for a while. It is a win goal, and it would be really disappointing to walk away with anything less. Looks like we are lined up good for the TTT as well, that would be a fun one to win. But if things keep going the way they have, I'd put my money on Uran for this one.

Looks like 1st is locked up, atleast on paper. Hoping to get at Top 10, some stage wins but idk how well that plan will go.

Yeah, next month to kick off. Modolo for stage winzzZ. Probably won't happen against that field but hey, maybe a Top 5 here and there. Also some breakaway espirt would be welcome, we kinda need that in those races.
Can't wait for matt to be angry at TT results lol

I've said it every race but Amador should win this with (relative) ease. Best TTT squad of the favourites, and obviously the strongest rider. Hoping Intxausti to finish nicely within the top 5 and hopefully get close to a win in the prologue.
Thanks for the preview.

well it could turn out to be very interesting how the flat stages are raced, I guess 2/3 for breaks and an upset for the sprinters...the clearly strongest sprinter has to have at least some support with him normally I would say...
to the GC it's Amador in front of Uran for me, then things are going to be very close...guessing Brajkovic

Really looking forward to once again seing Anacone show that he prefers racing on CT-level...
So basically I'm putting my hopes on breakaways for this one.

I considered sending Schadlich here, but decided against it. Will be interesting to see how the TTT will be without him. Anyway, Monsalve should be good enough for a top 5, so he will prolly finish between 10-15

guessing Brajkovic
I'd be highly surprised. Hopefully my climber squad survives very well in the mountains so they're stronger in the TTT. I don't count on much more than a lower top-10 in any case.

I have a top5 goal here, but I very much doubt Alizadeh can come anywhere close to fulfill this one. I didn't send Denifl or Kiserlovski as the race unfortunately clashes with the Giro. |

Well, I hope Duarte can at least grab a top 10 here. Unless he overperforms... |

All in for Kump here. Would be sweet if he could grab another points jersey here
Will probably go to a Gc-contender though, would be happy if Ablenado could produce a notewhorty result for once
