Hi, I got a problem.
When I take a shirt from the shirt database, it seems like it doesn't work in-game. There are some shirts, where you can download the .tga file (especially in the older games), but how should I do it now?
EDIT: It is to personal use, not to release DBs or something like that

I think I remember seeing somewhere that they changed the file format needed for jerseys from .tga to either .png from PCM 2014, so just right-click and save as .png should work. Not certain about that, but it's worth trying a different file extension if you can't get them to work.

As of PCM14 iirc the extension has indeed changed from tga to png.
Right-click on the image -> Save as -> "XXX_maillot.png" (XXX is the team abbreviation used in the database, f.e. alm for AG2R or tga for Giant - Alpecin). Then you have to put them in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2016\3D\Cyclists\Cloth\Team\XXX (again XXX is the team abbreviation).
You also need to create minijerseys, which you can do with the MiniJersey Tool, which can be downloaded in the Downloads section for PCM16 on this website (left side). Name them XXX_minimaillot.tga (or .dds, but you'll need to convert them in that case) and put these in Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2016\Gui\team_shirt.
Inactive due to personal reasons.

Okay, thanks to you both
How about the older versions, those who still have .tga?

You are best saving them as the same format to what is used in-game. Check other jerseys within the folders to gauge an idea.

It was since PCM 13 that the format changed btw, the jerseys were upscaled fromm 455x313 to 910x626 and the format changed from tga to png

That's right, the 13/14 change was that we don't have to use the 'plis' file to make jerseys anymore. Which is kind of annoying for me since I have to add them to any new jerseys I download, but much better for people with newer editions than PCM 13.

Have you followed the tutorial, or does it go wrong elsewhere?
How to use:
Put the jerseys in \Assets\Gui\Cloth\Team (path is mandatory !)
Launch Batch\ExportJersey.bat (edit camera parameters if needed)
Results are in folder Output which is cleared before every launch !
Config parameters:
1 = camera at 3/4 angle
2 = front camera
Width/height: It has to be a power of 2 and it won't look good above 1024! The game uses 256x256. Any other size will result in a pink box.
This tool creates .tga files, while the game needs .dds files, otherwise it can't show the files (pink box).
Here you can find a tool that can easily convert .tga files to .dds files. Make sure to select "Alpha" under Options and select "RGBA" under Output Format for the best results.
Put the .dds file(s) in either Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2016\Gui\team_shirt (if you didn't create a custom database) or in the MiniJersey folder in your custom database's folder in Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2016\Mod.

I do not have any 'Asset' folder...
I put them in 3D/Cyclist/Cloth/Team, is it good?

No, you don't need to put it in any games folder. You are downloading an archive that you need to extract to your desktop or wherever the heck you want. Cool, now open the mini jersey tool folder you extracted and copy the files you need to make a mini out of in assets and run the batch file.

Okay, now I understand, it is not the PCM folder, we are talking about. It is the tool itself!
Thanks for your help!

But now the tool just opens and then closes down, what should I do?? I have copied and I have taken all the jerseys to Assets/Gui/Cloth/Team.

The answer to DiCyc's last question probably was: Look in the Output folder.
But I'm necro-ing this thread in the unlikely case nobody else noticed it:
Config parameters:
1 = camera at 3/4 angle
2 = front camera
You can use camera 3 and you get a 3/4 view from the other side and a higher viewing angle. Maybe somebody has a use for it.
