gpx not loading in editor

Hi, my stage editor can't open any gpx file, when I click on "read bounds from gpx" and choose file nothing happens and the next box where should be the name of the opened file is empty. Anybody knows what could be wrong?
Thanks for any help.

Does the gpx-file or a folder it's in use special letters in it's name?
Try copying the gpx to the desktop and rename it into e.g. aaa.gpx

If the file name/folder problem isn`t working, you might also test this:

Some sites seem to deliver gpx files that do not work. To solve it, upload the gpx to another map site like www.bikemap.net. Then save and export the gpx from there.

This happened to me once, the fix in the end was to download the gpx file of a route not already on my computer, when I loaded that it worked fine after that, although I'm not sure if it was that in itself or something else related to that (the new stage having a different name or being in a different spot maybe?) that fixed it.

It also can matter how the GPX file is named if it has special letters, etc. as Margh said.

I found the same thing. One of the files I had that had Göteborg wouldn't load, when I changed to Goteborg it loaded fine.

I tried again with all the mentioned advices, tried opening in PCM14, tried making on diferent websites, and still not working. Now I see that it must be something wrong with the stage editor because I can't even save or extract the stage and it has no errors, prepared to extract.
What is this?!!
