Moving into season 2 the team is coming of a very disappointing first season with still no win to date. This season with a new co-sponsor and new country to target we hope for a change.
_________________________________
The plan for this season is to restructure the entirety of the team. Of course a few key riders will stay on board like our two big cobblers and our sprinter Giacoppo but other then that there are going to be a lot of new faces on this team as we head into the season's transfer window. With the plan to target Australian's, New Zealander's and Mongolian's we know what direction we want to head in.
_________________________________
With a lot of other New Zealand and Australian teams it will be difficult to get the riders we want but we will be hoping to improve our squad while sticking to our roots. With this in mind we will still be looking at getting some riders from other countries like Belgium, France and else where. We hope you enjoy the season ahead as much as we do. This season we want to do better but we aren't expecting promotion. It's like every good movie, you need to introduce the cast before you can move forward..

Fox Sports - BikeNZ Cycling Team has a purpose. It has long term goals as well as short term goals. It also knows that a world with cycling is a better world for everyone!
The purpose of Fox Sports - BikeNZ Cycling is to find a group of Australian, Mongolian and New Zealand youth and make them into the next big cyclists. They believe that with the right people and support behind the riders that they can grow into the next big thing!
In cycling everyone has a purpose, everyone is apart of something and at Fox Sports - BikeNZ Cycling, their goal is to find that something...Now isn't that really something!

The jersey for the team this season has kept the same colours as last season but the main colour on the jersey has changed. Blue has taken over the jersey with black shorts and yellow being there just to add style. The top half of the shirt is now white instead of it being the main colour. This seasons jersey really does look amazing!

We would like to send out a huge thankyou to bwiggins who took the time to create this masterpiece! We are so greatful here at Fox Sports - BikeNZ! Even though we didn't win any National Championships bwiggins took the time to also create 3 NC jerseys for Australia, Mongolia and New Zealand.
We hope you all like these jerseys as much as we do!!!

Aaargh, glad to see you went Australian at least. Guess me and bwiggins can't complain though, we waltzed into your territory Nah good luck in transfers, so long as we both get a decent chunk I'm happy, however you have Australia and I have Africa to fall back on a bit I guess. And of course, I've expressed my undying love for your jersey and equipment, though if bwiggins uses that pattern I'm suing you both for copying my fabulousness (who cares who did it first)

Good luck in the new season! Your experience from the past season will surely make your planning much better this time around - would love to see you bring in some big names to bolster your roster during transfers! Good luck with it all.

You've got a solid core of riders there who can do something, particularly in a reduced bunch sprint, and now you should have more than enough money to chase the rider who can get you that elusive win Going more international will certainly help with that.
Good luck this season, I'll be watching with interest.

Yeh definitely! On releasing some riders we have lost some help in areas like Steegmans in the cobbles but with them gone it means we have to focus a lot more on getting who we need and who can really help out the team. I am particularly looking for 2 riders who can stand out in the CT in the Stage Races and Sprints and help us get those wins that we really do need. With the first season behind us now we also have a lot more experience and are ready for the season ahead!
Good to hear that you will be following the team! I will be updating this as much as possible! The transfer season will be exciting for us as we have to get 7 riders to even stay a team in the MG this season! We definitely will be looking at loaning in a few riders this season!
