I was just wondering, will editors be (partly) compatible with the new game?
For example, I use the PCM Fast Editor. Will I be able to change transfers, stats and finances with the editor, because I guess the system to those stays the same in the new game?
Or will a new editor have to be made because there are new features in the game? |

Personally, I only use the Full Editor / Advanced Editor V4 - and this works with every edition of the game.
If I'm not mistaken, all editors use the same exporting/importing function as the Full Editor and is thus automatically compatible with new games.
It may be a good idea to disable Fast Editor's naming of the tables, though (Settings -> Language -> Do not translate ...) |

Thanks for the quick answer and the tip! Glad I'll still be able to use it for basic stuff, since I constantly use it (changing teams, finances...) |

Yes, the older files are offline because of an error in the last server change (https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=28830). You can find the Full Editor here though

There are way too many posts about the same thing. (Additionally to having the same information in different threads and off-topic comments.)
For example this thread also speaks about the format of the database including talk about different editors: https://www.pcmdai...d_id=29762
So I will release a new version of my editor sometime soon, but I would be glad if somebody could post all problems regarding the new database and my (or the fast) editor.
BTW: My Excel Editor should be working no matter what, because it uses the same extracting functions as the advanced editor from Cyanide.

It's explained in the download description:
In order to edit a database:
1. Place the database file in the Databases folder.
2. Open PCM2008_CDB_to_XML.exe and select the database in Database In.
3. In Folder Out, write something - e.g. "mydatabase" - and click Import.
4. After a while, the database will be imported. In Folder In, pick the folder, and you can now edit the DB by selecting the desired table in "Table".
5. When done, write something in "Database out" and hit Export.
6. This will export a database to the Databases folder. Move it to My Documents/Pro Cycling Manager 2013/Mod/Database.
You will have to be more specific about what's not working for you |
