Hi!
I've just started my 2'nd season, and I'm currently in january.
I was checking the calendar, and noticed that none of the races has changed its profile compared to last season. The Giro and the Tour still has the same stage profiles, among others.
When will they renew themselves?
I'm using "Real name db".
Thanx! |

Real name DBs only do as their name say, and correct fake names to real ones. They don't include variants, and none come with the game as well, so you'll always have the same stages. To add variants, you can either download a database which includes variants, such as PCMDaily's DB, which includes about 70 variants for WT races iirc + some others for NCs and WCs, or download and add the variants by yourself from the Stages forum, or Cyanide's stage pack, which includes 6 variants (one for each race) + some WCs variants. If you install variants by any of the ways above, they will work with your on-going career, but only from next year onwards.

Hmm. Boring
Btw, I'm using "Real Name DB for Patch 1.3.0.0", and I'm currently in january 2013 (5'th).
Is it not possible to install variants during a season rather than waiting untill next season before they take effect?
I'm quite familiar with the editor, so if it's possible to configure variants during the season I would like to do that. If not, my motivation for the ongoing season will fall. |

The easiest solution would be to install the Cyanide stage pack and then load a backup from the last season. The backups can be found in the weekly save folder. The date is in the file name so it should not be hard to find the last backup from the previous year. Copy that file to the save game folder and load it in the game AFTER you have installed the variants. |

Will try to do that, but how can the variants and the other stuff take effect on an ongoing career? |

I am only talking about variants. These can be added to an ongoing career according to Cyanide. Read their information about it, if you want to know more. |

Oh, I see. Misread your post Thought you were talking about the daily db. If I decide to install the daily db, how can I use it on my ongoing career?
What will change? Potential, skills, etc. |

You will have to start a new career with the daily db.

The Daily DB can`t be used for the ongoing career. You would have to start a new career.
So easiest way would be to install only the variant pack by Cyanide as Lachi suggested. |
