Does someone has been able to implement the galleries (paravalanche barriers) that until PCM 09 were included ingame? I'm trying with the ones in PCM 09 but is not possible for me to place them correct in the stages.
These elements are typical in the Tourmalet, near La Mongie so it would be fantastic to place these objects like a tunnel or a bridge, like in past PCM games.
I don't understand why Cyanide does not include them since PCM 2010...
Work In Progress:
After a lot of time trying, testing and of course desperating me I could get something decent. I have the paravalanche barriers working ingame:
In the image you can see that in the BridgeandTunnel menu there are the paravalanche barriers, left and right, depending on the road side that is the mountain. The paravalanche works exactly like a tunnel so you can choose the lenght in the same way.
For now, the object works fine but I want to polish some details:
-The object illumination
-The light into the paravalanche
The only "problem" is that the editor creates a mountain over the paravalanche, like over a tunnel, but it can be solved with the terrain editing tools of the editor.
I will come back with news and of course the download for all of you!

Cyanide aren't known for doing sensible things to help the players, so it's not really surprising. It would obviously be a great thing to use in stages, but I doubt we can expect it to be added to the game anytime soon.

This is a graphics thing. Cyanide are well known for doing sensible graphics things, because that's what appears in trailers and screens, not gameplay.

But I am quite sure that nobody has had any success with adding paravalanches.
And with that screen, I beg: if anybody knows whether chester00 has ever published that somewhere, please let us know

I'm trying to implement the paravalanche barriers but I'm desperate. I have edited a tunnel of the game with the paravalanche barrier bloc.
This is the maximum I could do but it's no good:
I have no skills of 3D editing but I'm sure that we can implement this object ingame. We need somebody with 3D skills. With my obvious limitations I could get this but I'm far from a decent solution:
-The input and output of the paravalanche barrier is the same like the tunnels.
-The light into the paravalanche is the same like a tunnel.
-Only works "fine" with 15 meters long. More or less from that, the paravalanche is created in a bad way.
In the opposite side, I have to say that the paravalanche fits perfectly in the terrain, like tunnels but the road inside is transparent by the sides:
