What the?
I see they haven't fixed the most annoying bug though - the peloton sitting up in the last kilometres is a flat stage.

A couple of very small bug fixes and like 10 new things for Armada...
At least they've decided to use the Mod folder after all.

Heck, they care about showing that you have 100% of a team pack without having to reconnect, but who cares if the peloton happily softpedals towards the finish line...

So we have the answer to the question what are the Cyanide priorities: 95% Armada, 5% rest |

What's this, "business only interested in the bottom line!" shock? Come on people. Most people start businesses to make money. If you want to make a difference then join the Peace Corps or the CIA (same thing).
It was eleven more than necessary.

hmmmmm
I see this actually as good news.
I thought the old news was that cyanide would not make new patches for PCM12 anymore.
This is kind of a weird patch, don't think i will DL it and use it. But atleast now there's hope cyanide will continue patching this version 12.
(i'm still waiting for a race where i will also have that "zombie peleton" bug, but maybe the bug is different in my version ? cause i only have this problem at the beginning of the stages.) |

Well, at least the patch fixes the SE bug, at least for me. And offers possibility to add stages in Mod/Stages, so as much 'wtf' as the release is it certainly won't be bad to have it

Yet another noob question - after having a spot of bother with the last patch (1.3) and a couple of packs (pink squares, missing bikes and helmets) I managed to get it right the second time around.
However, after booting up the game this morning, I accepted the automatic download of this patch (1.4) and when I go to the page where you choose the bike frame, wheels etc...I see the same pink square as before, although this time the bikes and helmets are there...in the 3D races. I'm using one of the pcm packs (for 1.3).
Will I need to go through the same again....removing and re-installing to remove the pink square or will I just need to wait on a pack for version 1.4? |

Don´t know if it is general or just me but the patch has messed up a bit my saved game, some country flags are pink squares, back to Cya world tour instead of UCI ..tried pasting local cdb.from the back up files but it doesnt seem to work...

#2 and 3: probably the Local.cdb is not compatible anymore, so the game automatically overwrites the PCMDaily one (or whichever custom you use) with the default one. Misar, you could try pasting the Local.cdb and setting it as read only, and also pasting it on Program Files/Cyanide/Database.
Try pasting the local.cdb where?? before setting it as read only?? and then pasting it on program files/cyanide/database aswell?? & to paste, am I copying the local.cdb that's already in the program files folder??

Copy the local.cdb from C / Program Files / Cyanide / Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2012 / PCM.daily DB Backup and paste it in Your Documents / Pro Cycling Manager 2012.

Go here :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2012\PCM.daily DB Backup
There's Local.cdb located here, copy and paste it to the :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2012\Database
It will ask if you want to replace the local.cdb with the one you copied, click yes.
Do the same process and copy the local.cdb from PCM.daily DB Backup to the C:\User\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2012 and replace the local.cdb there.
Hope that works for you.

cheers pellizotti, tried that but there are two files in my documents already - a local.cdb & a local.cdb~ file. I tried replacing the local.cdb with the one from the program files folder (as you suggested) but still the same - pink square. |

& cheers Alakagom, tried that...seems to be ok now. Pink square's now disappeared. Unfortunately, I've never been able to view the equipment since using the pcm pack but everything else seems fine.
The equipment is all there to choose from and the star ratings change depending on the equipment being chosen....just don't get to see the equipment (in graphic form) on that page before racing. |
