breezer
Hey Guys.

Since im havent been playing much career in "My real life PCM Career", im not quite sure how many race days, and what kind of races are the best to prepare for a GT in.

I know some of them ofc.

For Giro I do:
Nice/Tirreno
Catalunya
Romandie

For Tour:
Nice/Tirreno
Pais Vasco
Dauphine/Suisse

For Vuelta:
Nice/Tirreno
Tour of California
Dauphine/Suisse
Eneco/Pologne

Any race days under 40 are good going in, because if you go over 60, your rider can't reach prime fitness.

Well, you want to make sure that your rider doesn't have more than 62 race days at the end of the GT. About prep races, for the Giro I do Romandie, with either the Ardennes Classics or the Giro del Trentino before that. For the Tour I do either California then Daupine or Luxembourg then Suisse. For the Vuelta I'll usually do Pologne then the Eneco Tour. But, this is just how I do it, you can do what you want Wink

What kind of races doesn't really matter, what matters is only the race days.

It also depends on which GT are you talking about: the Vuelta has some GC-wise important stages already in the first week, while the Tour usually only has its first really important stage on the end of the 1st week. Now, you need 15 race days to get max 20 of race fitness, so if you're going for the Tour, it's important that your leader enters it with about 10 race days (minimum), so that through the first week he builds up and once you reach the end of the week he'll have maximum "Max Race fitness" (but not necessarily the maximum race fitness value itself). Also, it'd be an extreme case but to contest the whole race in top form (race days-wise), the rider can't enter the GT with more than 40 days of racing (after 60, he'll start to decrease max race fitness).
