Okay so I am working on a potential values system that will improve the ability of the game to adapt better to the real world. What I could use input on is a ranking system of characteristics.
This is a fairly big set of information I need (7 rider types, 13 attributes per type). I'll keep it simple and let the ratings be 1 - 5, (Best, Good, Average, Poor, Bad) But this doesn't have to be the format, especially for TT and Fighter style riders.
So here is what I am looking for: (For the example, I limited it to 1 rating best, 3 good, 5 average, 3 poor, and 1 bad.)

EDIT: I've added the XML files to this post, and will update them with feedback.
Note: Please backup the games XML files before overwriting them with these files. Extract this to ...Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2012/XML/YoungRiderCarac
Also note you probably will need to run your extract program in administrator mode.
If I understood right, you're working on the stats development of future riders in the game? If yes, that's good, and something that needed work when you look for example in the 2030 story by cactus-jack. I'm just unsure what are we supposed to do: are we supposed to try our settings, or make suggestions on yours, or what exactly?
Well this is just a template, that prioritizes, I'll post the XMLs that this runs and see if you want to play with them. The point of this is to see if everyone would agree that the priorities are right? A stat with a 1 up in that table will have a high chance of getting a high potential, where a stat with a 5 will not.

I'm playing with it, trying it out some more, I'm thinking I need to bring down the probablity of a highish trait in the 4 and 5 categories. A 35% chance of getting in the 70s seems too much for the attribute that should be the weakest.
