I've just been promoted so this is my first season the big league How do you think I should organize my squad? I am simply looking to avoid relegation this year and I think I should make it.
As of now, this is my plan for the different riders:
Kreuziger: Giro and TdF
Created rider: Vuelta
Sagan: Ardennes
I'm mostly wondering what you would do with Blythe, Guarnieri and so on.

Guardini for the points jersey in giro and vuelta ? In TdF he would just waste alot of energy Sagan for TdF and the first part of the classics and Thomas for the second part of the classics ? |

I've been thinking about it a bit now and I've come with a second option, I'de like your input.
Kreuziger: Giro and Tdf
Created Rider: 7-day Tours (P-N, etc.) and Vuelta
Sagan: Ardennes and TdF
Guarnieri: Giro and Vuelta |

I smell save game editing . Duarte 80 mtn?
Anyway, Sagn would do well at the tour points. He may not beat the top sprinters, but if he pulls a Hushovd circa 2009 and gets in some breaks, that should deffinatly a goal. And what are you planning to do with Duarte?
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Are there many TT kms in the Giro? If not, you could consider having Duarte there as leader, supported by one of the Italians, and having Kreuziger leading the team in the Ardennes. That way Kreuziger would be fresher in the Tour, which is always interesting because of the much stronger competition.

No editing here, as mentioned earlier I'm in my 3rd season and the rider evolution is set to 0.4. My main plan for Duarte was to use him as a helper for either Kreuziger og my Created Rider due to his lack of TT-skills. Besides, they are very similar when it comes to climbing.
At the moment I can't remember exacly how many TT-kms there are in the three GT's, but if you wanna check for yourself I'm using the PCM-DB (not the updated one).

The Litex logo banner near the calendar, I have tried to do it before on past custom team saves but can't get it right.

I'd consider Duarte at the Vuelta, going for stage wins.

He could go to the Giro instead. That way Kreuziger would be more rested for the TdF.

I don't remember which had the most TT-kilometers of the Vuelta and Giro, but I'll have to consider that. |

Sagan - spring & summer hilly and flat tours - Santos, Paris-Nice, Catalunya, etc., (no grand tour)
Kreuziger, Duarte - Giro
Kreuziger, Duarte, Sagan - classics
Sagan with ca 50 race days rest and wait to autumn classics
Kreuziger, Duarte, Created Player - TdF - end of season for Kreuziger and Duarte
Created Player, Navarro - post TdF tours and Vuelta (& with Sagan autumn classics)

Tellico: I like your idea, but what do you think about using my created rider for the Giro instead of Kreuziger? Keep in mind, he is likelyto improve with maybe 1 stat in MO till the Vuelta. |

I was thinking about it - CP is better for Giro, especially he is much better in downhill which is usefull for Giro but Kreuziger is much better in HILL and better in STA. This is crucial for classics.
Well, fundamental question is what are your goals.

One goal for the season: Survive my 1st year in the top divison. Result wise: Top 5 (or podium) in the Giro and Vuelta and Top 7 (or top 5) in the Tour.
For races such as Paris-Nice, P-R, etc. I have no goals whatsoever. |

I do not know how bad you'd have to play to be relegated CQ (Superprestige in default database) ranking determines who is promoted/relegated so easiest way to survive is winnig continental races in which starts weaker riders. For example in my current carrer i need every cent beacause of poor sponsors and Sagan starts non stop from Santos Tour Down Under in continental races (winning ca 70%) and Taaramae starts in ProTour spring Tours. Sagan was 3rd in milan-San Remo. So im sure that points points scored by the end of March are sufficient to maintain WorldTour for my team. |
