Obviously the game generates new young riders every season. Otherwise there would be a point in which every rider would retire and the career end - which doesn't happen.
Or in 2016 there would be no rider below 22 years old, which would be also very strange.

yes this behaviour should be logic, btw about any sponsor in pcmdaily DB will go out of the game in 2024 (value_i_year_max), so any carrer is limited (about 10 years)
i just mod any end sponsor year to 2099 to be sure my carrer can go ahead for many years

I don't think value_i_year_max is the year in which a sponsor will go 'inactive' for the rest of the career.. that would be completely senseless. The Official Release (DB from Cyanide) also has only 6 sponsors with a pre-filled value_i_year_max, and all the others are 0. I guess Cyanide has got at least some clue on what it does, so they wouldn't make a game in which a career actually has an ending point (when in all other PCMs it hasn't).
This thread is interesting on the topic: the guy says he spent a long time searching for sponsors but found none, and he's 2024. He mentions the table value_i_year_max and guesses that the values on that table might be causing the problem. Then there are these posts by CrueTrue, saying that the value defines how long a sponsor is willing to stay with a team, and that he doesn't think it's this table that is causing the problem. https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=18088

i see, so it sholud be a value applied only for CPU teams (bc human players cant renew a sponsor contract, and this value would not make sense), and also this value should be applied only for start game contracts...
so conclusion
usually i mod the game's files less that i can to dont risk to unbalance the game, but i think i can keep this value to 2099 without many problems...
ty iiggii for your support it is precious
