Hi all,
I dont know what has happened to my save game but the rankings categories have changed back to their original names. Im playing with the PCM daily database and the rankings were
UCI World Tour
Continental
CQ Rankings
Victories
But they have changed to
Cya Top Tour
Continental
Prestige
Victories
The only things I have edited this morning is ive added a Logo and mini logo (Straight from pain.net into the save game file). but I don't think this would have any effect on this.
The only thing i can think of is that i unlocked an achievement and maybe this might have caused it to revert back to its old settings?
Any way does any one know how this has happened or how i can change it back??
Thanks n advance!

I think it has something to do with your local.cdb
Read the thing about the pink boxes:

Well strange it didn't work, because it's right. It has to do with the local.cdb. If you're playing with the Daily DB, do what said in the link Spilak posted (copy local.cdb from the folder in Program Files and paste it on My Docs/PCM11). Btw, try doing this again and deleting the security copy of it (local.cdb~), the game will automatically create a new one when you enter it.
If you're playing with whatever other DB, just do the same, except I don't know where you can get the local.cdb from.

Okay ive tried deleting everything and re-copying it but it still did not work.
So as a test I deleted the local.cdb file and security copy completely and loaded the save game. The Rankings had still not changed but when i went to the docs>PCM2011 the local file and security copy file were there. Is this right as the computer must have created its own version.....
Can you upload ur local.cdb and ill copy and paste that in tp try and see if that works?? |

Okay, I think ive tried every combination available now with the local.cdb and nothing seems to change, plus now one flag has gone pink.
Ive deleted the local from program files and put it in documents. Put it back into program files and deleted from documents. Had it in both files and nothing seems to work.
Is there anything else I can try before reinstall the DB?? |

So you said you deleted the local.cdb and the security copy, but after that did you paste your DB local.cdb? If not, then that'd be useless.
First of all, are you using the PCM.daily DB? If yes, then I can't see other solution than doing what you've already done (copying local from Program Files to My Docs). Just a thing: the local.cdb is not needed on Program Files, it won't change anything there. The only thing is that the Daily DB creates a 'backup' folder in your Program Files containing the local.cdb, but you don't need it there to make it work.
This said, if it's not working I don't see other solution but reinstalling the DB.

I reinstalled the DB and its back to the way it was, I backed up my files first but the re installation did not overwrite my jerseys/logos/save games/fitness schedules so everything went fine
Just wondering how it went wrong really........Oh well
Also Is there a way to watch races your team is not involved in? For example I did not get a Giro Wild card but I would still like to view the race, is this possible?? |
