You could try the forum search because this has been discussed before. (maybe years ago)

But the easiest solution is to use your favorite player where you can play your own playlists.

I am kind of worried about the acceleration stat. Not that I am not happy about the ACC stat being fixed, but it really messes up every DB we've made. The whole DB needs a complete makeover, because we've always made sprinters that can hold it have high acceleration. Now it judges accelerations, same as sprint during it. So what now judges length of red bar? We have to overhaul the entire DB for the stats change I think.

How do I make Transfert(or what ever they are calld..)? I just opened one in Photoshop to see the size and all, than made one for Red Bull in the same size, saved as .TGA and named them 3722_transfert_ar and _av but in the game there is a other logo on the point jersey in TDF, something that looks alittle like the Cyanide logo. So did I do anything wrong?

Regarding race days...

How many race days do the AI riders have in average?

I ask because if you let all riders race for 90 days and the AI only 60, then wouldn't it be way too easy to get more ranking points than the AI and get promoted for example? So technically the AI should adjust the race days of its riders to the race days of your riders to make it balanced. But I have a slight suspicion that it doesn't.

Correct me please if my logic is wrong, as this just sprung to my mind right now.

In PCM 2012 the AI already had around 90 race days for a rider, even with the 60 day limit (for fitness), so late races were easy to win. I guess they keep their race days (around 90), but you can level it and there's no fitness advantage in late races.

Hence, it'll be tougher to win the Vuelta and the WC!

I see! Thank you. The change makes a lot of sense then!

Argh.
Arrived at the Worlds with Kazachstan. ITT. When I selected my riders(it doesn't already select a few automatically, like it normally does), I can't do 3D race, only quick simulation. Also, when I click quick simulation, none of my riders is listed(this should've been fixed by the patch), and I can't do anything. Yes, I tried going back & forth from that screen. Yes I've used Weekly saved. Yes, I've used forum search. Pfft

Right, was able to skip it.
Though my team couldn't enter both WCs. Hope this won't happen every year...

What stats do people here think Kwiatkowski deserve? I mean on Hill, Time Trial and sprint first of all

Ask this in the stat discussion thread or something, this is not really the thread to discuss it. 77HI, 76TT, 73SP maybe? Wink

yeah, I remembered the stat thread 2sec after I asked here...

I have a big problem with the TTT. Like the TTT in Tirreno-Adriatico. I used effort 99% from start to finish, with Mollema, Boom etc at 25 sec and Slagter, Wynants at 5-8 sec. Still i ended last, over 1 min behind the winner.

All the riders had 2 and 3 in form, and good to perfect in rythme.

Any sugestions?

Simulating it.

This bug is already in the game for years. Shorter TTTs are impossible to get a good result at.

I think the right way to do short TTT is to have your first rider setting the pace for as long as possible. Changing the rider in front as rarely as possible. Not just setting the maximum time the computer allows to you. You need longer pulls. You need to allow just one rider to pull for 3-4 kms with the rest of the team sitting behind him. Then another rider make a long pull this way and so on. When I do this way, I get better results than the standard tactic: long time for strong TT riders and short time for weaker TT riders. In my tactic you don't even need your worst TT riders to set the pace, because for 16kms it's enough to make only 4 changes at the front of your team, therefore only 5 best TT riders will set the pace at any moment of the stage.

Of course you must be careful because when you burn too much energy from your best TT riders, you may end up with not enough riders who can keep the pace at the end of the stage.

I also change the difficulty level for TTT stages at "easy" and do TTT this way. I usually get quite reasonable outcome.

I hope you understand what I mean because I lack specific vocabulary and can't really describe it as clear as I would wish. Smile

I use the same tactic for short TTT too, gives me decent results.
There is a video of mine which shows that tactic, maybe it helps some people who didn't understand you clearly:

Only my 2 sprinter had some form others were out of form and wasnt lucky with daily form either, so 22 seconds is acceptable result.

That's a bit pessimistic Pfft Sure the top sprinters could do with some adjustments, but specially among lower-level sprinters it's quite hard to know for how long they could hold their sprint/how fast they can accelerate, meaning that ACC was sometimes used as a 2nd sprint rating factor (e.g. you have two riders with 70 SP, but you feel one of them is slightly better, so you give him e.g. 71 ACC and the other 69 ACC).

.tga, or did you mean .png? It should be .png.

There were some .cdbs/DBs in PCM12 that changed the rider racing programs exactly to avoid that (late races being too easy to win), like TankNL's 2013 calendar (extensively edited rider programs too) and Daily's DB. Don't generalize Pfft

No, there's no Stat Discussion thread, there is a PCMDaily DB stats discussion thread, it's not mean for general discussion Pfft

Okay, point for you Wink
But this doesn't really seem the best place either...

Agreed. Then again, you could always go "Kwiat has 78 HI in this DB? I'd much rather give him 77. What do you guys think?", so it doesn't change that much Pfft

Is it just me, or is the game being fixed/tweaked without a patch even being released, or maybe Im downloading something and not knowing it.

Because the last few days, I've noticed the breakaway bug is gone, and compared to 2 days ago and today, stages load a lot quicker, just as fast as PCM12 again.
