Yeah, no breakaways are given anything in the Giro and then a breakaway is allowed to win the GC here. Fantastic. So, despite TvG being a useless lump, we got:
4th, 9th and 14th places in Germany
The team standings by miles
The white jersey (which Adam cannot buy atm. First OP Barguil, then his own goddamn brother)
A stage win in Fuji
The points jersey for the great Dibben (he'll hopefully make a career out of that sort of success, not the first time he's done it)
9th and 10th on GC. Might not sound like much but last season it would have been 19th and 20th.
Add in the fact that we're actually getting in more than 50% of the BotDs at the minute and you get an extremely happy manager who is actually being proved right at last.

Thinking about suing Cyanide. Sarmiento before Contador.. I just sorta want to give up now.

What a nice day for us
Sarmiento goes into the break in Mount Fuji and finishs 4th overall - ahead of Contador and Quintana Also somehow we won the Team Classification.
Kwiatkowski does what was expected and secures the win in Deutschland. Perfect race for us with a massive points haul.
Thanks precious triple header for securing our nice spot in the rankings. Didn't expect such a nice season after all that transfers huzzle.

Still scored more than SAP somehow which is good. And that is being last both in Deutschland and Guatemala!

Alitalia scored 17 points more than us and we were the worst WT team (I think), not looking great.
Thanks bikex for the update.

Not really, as surprising as it can sound, Cymru Wales is WT too

All that dope Chevrier was taking finally caught up with him and he fell off his bike and off the top 20 GC in Fuji. Coppel hung on for 10th GC and Dumoulin 8th GC so we did ok with our triple header planning.

I´m still angry about myself taking part in Guatemala instead of Tour de Suisse...hoped to scratch some points there but the opposite way seems like it would´ve been so much better...

With the points from the triple header looking like that, we can't be happy. Behind a team with so many 55s ... way to go team.
Would like a good run.
Nice start there Matt! How many wins are you up to now? You must be nearing our total of 9? Some 15 behind the most no doubt. |

Quiet start in Switzerland, hopefully we can pull off some sort of surprise. Why does Talansky not have unlimited RDs?

Ah, the quintessential "Damn it Evaldas I'm not leading you out" moment where we legit could have won. I make that 3, arguably four this season, though in fairness once it was a 1-2 but wrong order and not all of them were Siskevicus as leader (supposedly)
Also Madrazo sucking and Poels being full of s***
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

An 11-12-13 from Leopard there. BMC would be proud.
Nothing for us until July now so I get to make terrible in-jokes like that for weeks.

Good start by Talansky, and Hesjedal doing quite well in Suisse. Can't say I'm not satisfied
