Really nice to see one of the home teams win. Congrats Red, although I'm sure the crowds would still have hoped for Giogieri

That was a terrible stage from Beltran, but somehow it luckily worked out and he finished 5th in GC. So we at least achieve one race goal this season
This was an up and down and mostly frustrating race to follow, but in the end the awesome stage victory from Poljanec and the 5th place by Beltran gave us the scoring we wanted from this race
Congrats on the win ember, that Kwiato training was really worth it
Thanks for the reports Ulrich

I guess we can't complain with Boily finishing 8th and Koretzky making a bit of extra points.
Too bad Zoidl didn't make the first group of attackers here towards the finish as that would have given us a top 30 from him + the Team GC aswell. Budyak though was very very dissapointing, not even making the top 100, finishing 23rd in the U25 competition, while on paper he should be around 5th. A very very bad season for him all around.
But still, we came away with 154 points, which is in the higher end of our expectations (100-160 points pre-race). Paris-Tours was in the lower end of our expectations, but still within the expected so we have a nice median for the month.
Now, though to see an utter no-show in TONE
Congrats on the important win ember, and comisserations to roturn (in particular) for a horrible effort, yet again, by De Bie. Happy to atleast see your riders being aggressive and scoring some well earned points in stages and team GC. Looking at who finished 2nd, 4th and 6th, though De Bie should have easily been inside the top 5-10.

Luckily my team decided to go for breaks in the end. Velits in 2nd giving some points here.
Awful race in the end. Had much higher expectations despite knowing it is no pure puncheur race but if Kinoshita can finish as high as 4th, there is simply no excuse for De Bie to only finish 17th! It was a race where there weren`t more race days suited to pure puncheurs but basically going close to a 0 pointer for De Bie, this is not ideal in the relegation fight.
Unfortunately Zardini was either hold back for De Bie in his own chances or simply wasn`t at his best neither as he showed qualities in such hybrid races last season, which wasn`t working out this season anymore.
So 2/3 of our leaders disappointed in several races now. It might be Olivier`s task to rescue the season now I guess.
Thanks for the reports and congrats ember for the win. |

thanks for the reports!
Turned out a pretty solid race for Evonik. Lopez pretty much matched expectations, would have liked to see him get better stage results and hoped that he would finish a spot higher since he might be better on paper on this profile but third is a perfectly fine result.
Very notable is that the rest of the team delivered too. Tvetcov 21st, Mas & Blums 25th & 26th, thats really good.
Quite cool that the other hybrid riders did well too. Congrats ember for a super strong performance and fantastic victory by Kwiatek while its also nice that Beltran finished inside the top 5 for valuable scoring.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

As much as it’s probably fair for Teklit to come out of this with a stage win and 10th in the GC, I can’t help but feel he’s actually got very unlucky not to finish higher up.
Lost 2 minutes in 700m on 1 stage and now drops from 4th to 10th due to actually given “time gaps”
Thank you for the reports though!

After the first stage i hoped for a Waeytens magic, that faded on stage 3. Still, the points from the two stage podium and from the points and mountain rankings are very welcomed on a PTHC race
Thanks for the reports. |

Great last stage by Formolo He was always near the front and managed to climb to 7th in GC. Had the second group lost just two additional seconds he would have even been 5th.
The team helped him well by keeping the pace high on the longer climbs in many stages. This clearly hurt some of the more explosive puncheurs and paved the way for a solid GC.
Overall a cool race and very well reported. Thanks!

That was a very bad home race for us. Looking at the GC I should've brought Roglic instead...

Apologies for my cynicism. Did not expect much from this race but it always ends up even worse.
Thanks for the reports Ulrich, congrats Ember!

Big, big win! Brilliant defence from Kwiatek, can’t ask for more. He also brings home a lot of needed points, which is crucial for our fight for survival. This was just what the doctor ordered!
Happy to see the hybrids do well here with MAL and Beltran also being solid and fighting for podium places.
Also good to see EBH bring home a small conzolation for Air France with that stage win, eventhough it means little when he came for the GC.
Thank you for the reports and pace they came with, UU! Obviously it has been very tense to follow due to Kwiatek’s fight, and your reports definitely built the tension even more |

Huge congrats ember! What a race by Kwiatkowski and what an important time to do it. Certainly a man not afraid of the pressure!

We will happily take the KoM jersey after all our breakaway efforts. Congrats to the other winners and, as always, thanks for the reports!

Can't complain with 4th. It wont be enough, but atelast it shows Kinoshita can even compete with the climbers in some races.
Thanks for the reports.

Not exactly what we'd hoped for here. A stage win is a consolation prize for an otherwise very forgetable race. |
