The hardest startlist of the season and Michel freakin Koch sits in 11th? That's insane! Guess this is called getting into TDF win goal shape Grin

That was brilliant stuff by Beltran! Smile Just a pity he couldn't start the sprint closer to the front, as he seemed to be the only one (?) actually sprinting and advancing. 4th place on the stage and especially all the way up to 9th overall is way better than what I hoped for.

He will obviously go backwards when we hit the mountains again, but a top 15, and definitely a top 20, looks doable now.

Taaramäe kind of bossing it against the very best in the game. Eventhough there was no gaps here, I still think it's kind of spectacular. Will be interesting to see if he can hold his own against Schleck and the others when the mountains arrive again.

And thank you for the consistent reporting, jandal7 Smile

Well if it had been an actual hill stage it would have done more damage, so can't really complain about 2nd. At least Schleck did sprint a bit, to move up from 4th into the final kilometre. Some progress in the ultimate fight for 2nd overall at least.

Pretty awful by König though, to go from 10th to 23rd.

Surprised Tinkoff won by so much. Some consolation for Stage 1 screwing them over, but not nearly enough.

It actually makes it worse Pfft BTW i guess Kritskiy crashed at stage one instead of a puncture, since he lost 22 minutes on stage 3 and 30 minutes on stage 4. Good reports thanks!

Rein is such a GOAT this season. Hot candidate for Velo d'Or imo.

Actually just his 4th stage this season, but 50% win rate aint bad

Aaannd another one.

60%

If he can continue this form we can really pick up a lot of points here, would be great for our team. I am really happy about training him, even though it was danm expensive

It's getting worse every day. Gosh. I probably should not check the reports for this race anymore...

Moser striking back.

Vesely in total control here, but what a leadout that was from Eritel! Just a pity Van Heerden's acceleration basically gives him no chance at a win as long as any decent sprinter is close to his back wheel with two kilometers left. Congratulations again, Roman!

Hoem dropping minutes again is hopefully a good sign, saving himself for some breakaway fun in the mountains. That's at least what should be the plan Smile

Another great sprint from Alaphilippe, but also another 30pts lost to Moser... the 172 points scores at Lac Megantic is quickly becoming a zero-deficit... I guess we will have 30-50pts upperhand going out of this race seeing that also Novak is well besind Vysna in the GC...

Before the months started we would be thriller to level out Moser after those 3 races, so I guess that will still have to be the goal, despite the risk of Hirt doing a great Dauphine is definately high.

Pretty disappointing that Herklotz didn't try to sprint, that was easily another Top 5 if he chose to stay near Taaramäe and Schleck. Guess if he had kept his 3rd GC spot yesterday, he might have done that. Sad

For tomorrow, I hope he can follow the attacks and use his downhill ability in some way to get a good result. Would be amazing if he's in the front group when they get to the sprint.

Again second is slightly disappointing as greg should have been the best rider on that stage but the AI treated him badly (letting Vosekalns lead him out instead of following the other sprinters. However, it's me to blame as I screwed up the split between the two clashing races so I've got to be satisfied with what I've got out of the two sprint stages.

Now into the mountains and it would be cool if Koch could defend a top 20 result till the end

We did not expect anything from us on stage 5 and we did not get anything so thats fine.

Now all energy is to help Wellens stay in top10 and maybe give Robov freerole for hunting KoM pts.

Woohoo Schleck beat Taaramae Pfft

Van Heerden's sprint stat at least gets Eritel involved in these stages, even if his acceleration kills it. 3rd in a PT sprint is a very good result for him these days.

I hope you wont get used to it ;-)

I seem to remember Van Heerden being quite a good sprinter way back, don't he have some PT stage wins?

Well until a few PCM editions ago, acceleration determined the how fast the red bar decreased while sprinting and didn't have any actual effect on rider speed. So under the right circumstances, ACC didn't matter at all.

Any day in yellow is always a good day.

Congrats on another of your countless victories Roman!

At least not worse than the Vuelta, but not looking like this will be the much needed win.

Not only did Vysna HUGELY overperform here, Novak have also clearly crashed at some point. So another complete write off from him!

What a race by Rein so far! Congrats Heine, looks like his training really paid off.

Domination by Rein. Wow.

Best day for Morton, I guess Grin Come on, Ben Dyball. Please OP at some point to at least make the Top-30 here.
