Happens pretty often actually when riders get added too early and mg statmakers mostly do guessing work on them. Same happened for Polanc, for example.
One of my favourites has to be Kittel as a beast Time trialist.
Well that wasn't guessing work, that was just the most likely future development in 2009/2010...

Of course, I remember having him on my team in PCM 11(?) and developing him as a TT specialist too. I mentioned it just because it differs from reality.

It was very close to win, but still 2nd for Guardini is awesome, it seems that sending both our sprinters into race paid off and who cares about Grosu loosing time. I was expecting nothing from this race, so expectations already exceeded. GC was never in question anyway...
Congrats CT, we showed the big boys how to sprint. 
I like to think these kind of surprises can keep coming throughout the year, all those 82-83-84 guys will cancel each other out.

Kristoff not being good enough is kind of understandable in a mess like these sprints, but what is kind of annoying is that what should be decent rouleurs just sit at the back and do nothing. At least they're yet to be dropped!  Hopefully Kristoff can sneak back into the top 10 on the upcoming stages and thus bring home a decent GC placing in the end.
Cool to see Kennaugh take it in front of Guardini, shows that it's not all about Bewley, Swift and Degenkolb. Congratulations, CrueTrue!

Well, at least my team is actually forming a sprint train this year! Bewley is not as good as he was in comparison to other sprinters in last few years, at least so far, bad positioning all season long... Two podium places and a 2nd place overall so far is still a decent race development though. But who knows - a win may be there in the next stage! Thanks for the reports!

Cavendish with some valuable boni seconds, although he's already over 40 seconds down.
Guarnieri almost a minute

I might need to change my team equipment soon.
Somehow sprinters lose their speed riding in my colours.
GC wise this still looks solid. But in the end I had hoped to have a Degenkolb kind of time gap already to secure such position also in the final GC.
What annoys me the most though is to see Boom, Van der Sanden, Sbaragli again in a decent peloton position but the game decides to not let them make a strong train. Just can`t imagine that Boom, Sbaragli would make a bad leadout... |

Mohs is a excellent, excellent leadout. He made winning possible for Degenstache once again, eventhough Bewley was in a better position.
Nice too see the three top sprinters dominating as expected, though Swifts lack of help in the finals is visible.

Not good, but wind stages are a lottery. At least it looks like Sütterlin gets recognized as alternative team leader.
Ciolek really needs another podium before the TT if he doesn't want to get swamped.

Really good stage for Cav there snatching a podium is certainly what I was hoping for in the race. Now there is a hope for a high GC position. Two more days of sprinting hopefully, praying the wind gods are kind.
As others have said windy sprints are a bit of a lottery. Ciolek, MVS, Guarnieri no reason why Cav should be there and them not.
Swift/Bewley yet to snatch stage win two more chances for them.

This is awesome. Only due to incredible performance of Mohs, Degenkolb was brought into perfect position and fight for second stage win. Frankly, seeing lone rider before pack 3km to go, I didn´t believe in such happy end for me. I´m really delighted.

Pokerstars train really making the difference there. Degenkolb is absolutely dominating and his leadout setup is doing an even better job to get him in a perfect position to beat Swift and Bewley.
