At least Costa will be looking good in green while he is falling off the back of the favourites group.
PS. That typo scared me too.
Ask PCM to the rescue 911 system of AI failure. |

Fuck those judges! What's their goal, Plaza was clearly within the group! At least our top5 goal is practically achieved. Now it's all about the 2nd place.
Great stage though. It was surprisingly realistic! Again awesome report roturn. My team did a great job, but Kritskiy's triumph was bound to happen. Congrats to Tinkoff, now it's only a matter of sealing the deal.

The one time I need the AI fail, Costa decides to go "Attack" crazy and waste all his energy. I saw it coming but I wish he could have done better, stupid realistic results. Top 10 overall would still be nice though.

A mountain stage as it should be, many attacks, a lot of emotion and gaps that demonstrate the hardness of the stage.
Cabreira was simply fantastic, could not ask for better. Is a shame that will lose several places in the next stage otherwise this would be a good source of points for the team. The rest of the team was also in good plan, I'm not sure but I think Amaro Antunes can still win the mountain classification that would be great, and team standings are also in close-up ...
I think the final victory is delivered to my regret because I would like to see Plaza win the race.
Thanks for the great report roturn

Well, Vrecer up into 9th and should keep that place. That's very good. Also Silva is up there and probably won't go down either. |

Too bad the attacks started rightaway on the last climb. Reus 21nd now, so top 10 would be a small miracle. Still top 15 should be his aim, lets hope he can do something special in the TT.

The officials screwing the home favourite? Unlucky for Prio-Porto to have that almos non existing gap registred. But overall one of the best mountain stages this year, with lots of action and big gaps. Congrats to the season dominator Kritskiy, rider of the season by miles.

Awesome, proper gaps on a mountain stage for once!
Very satisfied with Caruso's results. Even though Karpets and Plaza will knock him off the overall podium in the TT, I consider this race a massive success. 4th overall should be secure, barring a disaster.
And by the way, great job with the reports, roturn. Im really sorry I haven't commented more, but I've been busy with exams. I'll have more spare time starting tomorrow.

Vrecer really good. Silva good as well. I haven't counted with points stages, but in GC wise, at least, 87 points scored from those 2 only. Very good race indeed. |

I can not complain because I thought that Cabreira would lose more time and more places overall, 14th position is optimal taking into account its capabilities in time trail.
This turns out to be a good race for us 79 points are almost guaranteed, that may be even more, depending on the provision in the last stage and the possibility of Amaro Antunes, move up in the mountain classification.

And Reus delivers! About time too . And 12th is pretty much what could be expected from him GC-wise. So in all I'm happy.
A stage victory on stage 11 would be the cherry on the cream/pie/sandwich. Dunno the expression really .

Nah, there has to be a cherry somewhere. Maybe we will find it, go Gavazzi!

Too bad I was on holiday during Volta a Portugal, so I missed out on the day by day fun, than again reading 10 reports at once is still great (especially as manager of Tinkoff! )

Costa got really lucky there. Sorry for those that crashed, kindof, but I really need those points to stay in PCT so... yeah. Very happy with our point haul by Costa in a 11-day race that included two mountain stages.
Hopefully this is the turning point the carries us through the rest of the season. Thanks roturn for the reports, the last stage had me pulling my hair out. I'll send you the bill for that.

Ouch that was bad. I'm sorry for all those affected by the crash. That was awful.
On my account I couldn't be happier. Except for that gap on the Torre stage everything went close pretty to perfection. And to top it off with yet another win in the final stage is extremely pleasant.
A word of appreciation to roturn. Great reports throughout the race. Congrats and thanks on that.

Sad to end the race this way. 3 spots lost for Reus and Gavazzi with a no-show.
But all in all it was a good race for us, 2 stage wins are very welcome.

. At least Vrecer didn't loose time and Silva climbed into 12th. A good race. |
