Happy with Pardini getting in the breakaway and showing my team to others. Got a few sprint points as well. Unfortunately only two of my riders made the 63 man cut which was d'Amre who only came 48th and Pardini who was my breakaway man who ended the group as 63rd.

Just wanted to write the next report.
But as Photobucket gives me problems with the direct links and imageshack is under construction right now, I have to wait a bit. |

Quite disappointing here. Well, at least Cohnen gave some publicity

Another nice report Roturn.
Nice to see both Vanthourenhout and Rodrigues on the attack - even though I'm slightly disappointed that the Brasilian didn't gain more places in the GC...

Commonwealth Bank seriously disappointing on stage 3. Only Graeme Brown came on the first group and...in 45th place! Leontenko losing another 1'32 so he got to the queen stage with 3'35 and his hopes for GC wasted.
So Leontenko's 7th place on Stage 4 only gives him a 33rd place overall. With no attacks on stages 3 and 4 and no hopes now for any GC place or a sprint win, we have to go in attack to get something on the last day! |

I'm starting to worry about my team Katusha. They're not really doing what I want them to do. :/ |

Amazing day for the team, grabbing the GC lead, a win, and also an other GC Top 5.

Great day for Matzbacher there, to get third on that stage was above expectations - let's hope he can hang on to that 3rd place in the GC which would be a great result for a sprinter-focussed team

More than i expected from Bonnafond, a great result for him and the team. Now i hope to keep the Top 5 in GC and the 2nd in team classifications. Reading the report i was asking where Bonnafond was, tbh i started thinking this was a bad stage and then reading the result i realised he finished 5 |

Had higher hopes for the GC after the first days in Italy went great for Zoegas..., but knowing Top20 is a realistic result after all.
Once more Johan Landström with a brave breakaway appearance.
Just talked to Jonas Ljungblad, I expect the veteran to take the charge for the last stage... showing some responsibility. He couldn't hide the whole race! |

I was very impressed by the 9th place finish...we did not have the team to support him and it's definitely another surprise on top of the win.

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

Bravo to the team!
Second on the stage and second in GC is just brilliant of Sabido.
Tarqui with another breakaway and on even points with the KoM leader Matzbacher. Are there points to gain tomorrow? If so, I hope Tarqui amazes us with another breakaway |

Thanks to Roturn for some nice reports.
Quite surprised to see the GC guys fight at the finish of the last stage. Too bad they weren't completely caught seeing how Kenny won the pelotons sprint...
Btw should we post overall race comments/report/evaluation here or in the General mini thread (where the HQ threads are)

Not sure how SN wants this.
But race related things can be posted here I guess. |

Not happy with the performance of my young 68Climber who came 117th in GC. Oh well. Was hapoy with a 4th in the first sprinting stage and the representation in breakaways especially from Olivier Pardini. Definitely good signs of breakaway opportunity in the other climbing tours.

A big thanks to De Ketele and Dexia for saving Matzbacher's podium place Great result overall, as I said before, really wasn't expecting that, although Clavero could have done slightly better.

Schoffman!!!!
For a second there I thought this was another Bernucci, but Schoffman secures it and gets us a win!
