Last 2.5 km are flat so looking good for Aru to take the stage win.

What happened with Aru tonight?
I think he just recovered, he went into red big time on Moltirolo and it took him a few days to recover. The less steep stuff seems to fit him better aswell..

Pace in Contador group must be really slow I guess. König and Kruijswijk obviously can`t go any faster. |

I really don't like when they run at both sides of the cyclist, it's so scary when the rider has nowhere to go if one of the running fans go nuts. |

Double Astana on the podium is probably done and dusted now. |

Also, what a stage. I disliked Contador before the season started, but since I watched a few interviews and watched him race this season, there is no doubt for me, that he is the GT racer of the post-Armstrong era. That was really payback time today.
If you know why Armstrong was the GT rider of a decade, it does not shed a favourable light on Contador though. So I am not sure what I have to make with your comment as you started with not liking Conta.
I don't care about doping...
Really? I don't understand that
I think everyone dopes, so I don't care about "I dislike him, because he is a doper". Imo, everyone on the top is.

Aru has almost 4 minutes to Amador now, podium is done. Only thing that can change is that Landa retakes 2nd tomorrow, which is quite a big possibility unless he gets team orders not to. |

It has been a nice and fun Giro, but
I never can over that one never see 100% of the top riders in a specific GT.
Just look at Froome, Nibali, Valverde is not in the Giro, next GT Aru will be gone.
It's like football teams putting a totally different lineup for top league games, and another one for Champions League.
What a wet dream to have seen 100% top GC riders and all their top domestiques in one and the same race.
Something we will never see.
At least ALL classic and cobbles riders are present when their top races gets raced.
OK I know it's impossible to race all GT, but I think some agree that it would have been something awesome if one of the GT every year was the prime race.

We will be close to that at this years Tour, Aru isn't at their level anyway and we will have Contador (might be tired though), Froome, Nibali, Quintana and Valverde... then the Americans and maybe J-Rod aswell... if everyone comes in top shape we will have one hell of a Tour. |
