Thanks for the kind words guys most of you are avid gamers so hopefully you will find enjoyment in our upcoming games. Ideas are flying and we will be focusing on smaller scale projects to keep up the activity and productivity.
@TheManxMissile: the reasoning i have heard is that a lot of projects has failed to deliver and thus causing less willingnesss to back new projects. Whether true or not is hard to say.

I think that is unfortunately very very true, it's why i only back projects from established people/groups

In all honesty i was expecting this, but it's still a shame. You have raised a question for me though and that is why Kickstarters have declined 50%? How much of this funding decrease has shifted to competing platforms like Indiegogo, or to pure Early Access games available via Steam? Not expecting anyone to know but it might go looking for numbers at some point
There's no faith in the market anymore.

Overall probably not. But of course there are numerous examples of kickstarters done well and that work. Those that are established people/groups, those that have something to show/give away and those that ask for small amounts are the ones that do best.
It's an interesting area, and i know it's getting off-topic so i'll be quick now, and i've written a short essay on crowd-funded films, and i am a big fan of the concept. I've contributed in the region of ~£350 across a variety of projects in the last 2 years, but i had no idea Kickstarter has declined 50% or so. Real surprise

I was really expecting this to happen, a game calibre like PCM needs an army of developers in such a short time to finish and with lots of free time.
But the point is, he tried and had a really good idea, somehow and somewhere one of these lads here might make this as an inspiration and create, or resume this in the future.

That would have been nice to know before I started using the engine for other work...
EDIT: Not for monetary gain, but rather for further learning and optimization practice.

Well good luck! If it happens of course I will buy it!
But I'm not gonna say I exactly have faith considering...

Exactly my thoughts...
If you manage to release it, I will buy it, but it will be hard.
Btw: I still want to translate it into german if it is needed...

Yeah well I'm done making promises and create hype based on my pure vision for the game more showing less talk. This is an ongoing project and people should judge based solely on what i show and release for free to the public
no release date, no feature list just a project that evolves the way i want it to

Dont worry you can still use it however you want to
I doubt i will base any future projects on that framework when Directx 12 is about to come out rather build a new one. |

DirectX 12=God if it works correctly.

Exactly it seems like the best API in a decade very exited to develop games with it. |

Thanks for ur work and be sure you have a potential market want to test new Cycling manager games. I´m one of them, I'll buy it.
Something else, if you need a spanish translator I offer myself to do it.
Thanks. |

Short update:
I currently have/or contribute to 4 projects in development, some related to university some related to games like the cycling project
I expect to launch the new game studio with website later this year. No games launching in 2015 but might share some details on the games in development.
Cycling project is alive and packing a lot of new ideas. Happy with the progress and while it might share a few features with PCM it will look and feel very different to any cycling product currently on the market
I want to create a fresh experience and give my vision on how to do a manager game.
Enjoy PCM15 and have a great summer |
