Seems like we've attended the Unzue school of getting the wrong rider in the right break.
Its a shame we did that as if we got it the right way around we could have gained a whole load more time and that 3rd place GC would look a lot more secure. With that being said, Kennaugh is really surprising me here with a great stage and he now sits a comfortable 10th which is amazing and almost stands as his best result for the team!
The last stage shouldn't suit us as much I think but if we can manage to stay up there a double top 10 finish in a non TT race would be pretty incredible. Id imagine Beltran has this race won considering how strong he's looked but with bonuses on the line Kwiatkowski can never be overlooked.

Difficult to do anything about Beltran, really. Congratulations again!
Good thing Kwiatkowski is still within reach, as the final stage is another chance to beat him.
Also great work by Amezawa during the stage. Looks to be at the cost of a solid GC for him too, as he was clearly strong again, but seeing we're cementing at least a podium finish for Kwiatkowski, I have to be content. Fingers crossed he can have another good day on the final stage. |

Slow and steady rise up the standings for Raileanu. Hope I didn't just jinx it!
Congrats to red

BELTRAN IS ON FIRE!!!
2019 vibes
Beltran rode a smart race and was well positioned throughout. I thought 3 km to go was a bit early to attack, especially if you're dragging classy riders like Kwiatkowski and Carthy with you. But I don't get to question him anymore
He's won every important uphill stage finish this season! 4 for 4
Blikra is having a great race also. He would be even higher in GC if he wasn't on the wrong end of that split on stage 3. Gaudu looks like he had a really bad day today. But conversely it looks like Pogacar is getting stronger as the race goes on A bit of a luxury to be able to hand the U25 jersey from one teammate to another
One more stage to go. It will probably be the biggest test of this team, defending the leader's jersey. But I think barring a big disaster, this race is already very successful. Let's try to finish it the best we can

Love it. Big Beltran wins the stage while little Beltran goes in the breakaway. Don't think our Chilean will one day be able to win as much as Cedevita's Colombian, so except for the name they don't have a lot of similarities Thanks for another great report, LLS!

Bad day for GC scoring, good day for Brandle. Probably realistically impossible to drop out of Top 10 now. Shocking performance by Dyrnes though, hope he can salvage his race.

Tough for Cedevita, but congrats to Aker! Wish hill stages like this were more animated though, seems like there’s a lot of easy bunch finishes.

I probably wont be part of the game past this season if this race is a sign a whats to come for the rest of Kinoshita's race days. There is no reason for him to be doing this badly, and its honestly not worth the stress and constant disappointment.
This race was a complete waste of RDs for Kinoshita, and tbh, its been a microcosm of our entire season, with the team just being extremely passive and lackadaisical.
I know I've been one of the more vocal managers about the poor AI in the past 2 seasons, and its something I've been trying to gain support and attention for, but the truth is I'm in such a small minority it feels like at this point that its not worth complaining about anymore. I'm sorry to all the managers that will be annoyed with this comment as well. It in no way diminishes my appreciation for the quality going into the reports.

Not much to say for us. Aranburu finished behind, but well enough to get 24th on GC. A few points is better than no points I guess. We got the Lander stage win and a few other noteworthy results, so it wasn't a total loss.
Thanks for the great reports LLS, and congrats to ember!
I still feel valv's concerns too. I've gotten a lot of luck so far this year, which admittedly has made me less vocal, but the AI issues are still there. For Kinoshita to finish in 40th, minutes down, on a stage like this is really just a travesty of cycling simulation. It makes no sense, and the game doesn't seem to have a rhyme or reason for it.

Fully understand these comments. From a reporters Point of View it is also disappointing to see riders who should be favourites just staying out of the action or getting caught too far back in the Peloton. Unfortunately it's something that tends to rear its ugly head a little too often.
In a race like this it looked like MO stat definitely had an impact on a few stages but that shouldn't stop a HIL rider from giving it a go on a stage which clearly favours those with higher HIL stat.
I hope your luck turns around in the races to come!!

That's a twist I'll take! Super happy to get the overall win here, eventhough Beltran has arguably shown himself as the strongest rider on the hills if we count all hilly stages here.
We need some sort of momentum too, and it's great that Kwiatkowski finally get things rolling this season, having been far from convincing so far this season.
Thank you for the final report too, LLS! |

We can't win them all
Some strange AI there with Pogacar finishing ahead of Beltran. 3rd on the stage is a great result and 5th by Beltran isn't bad at all. He does far better in smaller group sprints, but he's at his best when he just attacks the race. But I can understand why this was a more passive performance as the race leader.
Only disappointment is that the entire team outside of Beltran and Pogacar didn't do well. Maybe Blikra was due for a worse day, I didn't expect Gaudu would be bad two days in a row. Still thanks mainly to Pogacar, the depth scoring is very good
This whole race is a huge success for us. I would have been happy with just one stage win and a top 5 GC. So to win 2 stages, points, 2nd in GC and U25 win is way more than I hoped for In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we scored a similar amount or more than Aker with their GC win
Congrats ember, I loved the Beltran-Kwiato duel And thanks to LLS for the nice reports

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with you. Is the game of MG perfect? No. Is the PCM AI always good? Hell no!
But I don't think the game is to blame in this case. It's frustrating when things don't go as we would like them to, but I feel sometimes managers need to look at themselves and not just blame the game. For me I had a pretty underwhelming season last year. I would lie if I say I didn't moan and complain about it. But I also looked at the failures and tried to figure out what I could've done better. I have the same two leaders as last year, Beltran and Saber. I've adjusted my planning and the riders around them. At least early on it seems I've done a better job this season.
It's your choice if you want to quit the game. I'm just trying to provide a different point of view. I was a bit annoyed, but I understand the frustration. This conversation belong more in a thread on the discussion forum anyway.

Had the right riders in the breakaway, but they were clearly punching above their level. Other breakaway riders were too strong, and the peloton also showed no mercy. Great stage and GC win for Aker. I guess we should be happy with the ten stage points from Ulloa earlier, although I think it would not have been unreasonable to expect some points from Munoz in the U25. Pogacar at lvl 3 already winning two U25's shows what a strong rider he is/will be. Congratulations on the very strong race to Cedevita as well!
And thanks again for the magnificent reports, LLS. I really enjoyed the pleasant evening reads last week

Awesome Race with great fights and great reports. At the end it's nice to see the fan favourite win his home race but also a strong performance by Bektran and his crew. I expected the final stage to be more selective, but it was all fine. Pogo doing very well which you love to see.

It's a classic Minions race this season, the first few stages are decent but then we throw it all away (Uran yesterday, Poljanski to a lesser extend today). We get a few points but not the jackpot from GC standings.
Had bringing Hagen here over Uran made any difference? Probably not much given how other puncheurs did. But Uran would have done better at Pais Vasco where Hagen failed in the end, so perhaps it was a wrong choice after all.
Thanks for the reports LLS! Congrats ember on the win on the last day!

Two stage podiums, a breakaway appearance on almost every stage, a Top10 in Points, and 2 Top10s in KoM. That's actually quite good given the team we sent along.
Mayer's contract was secured after TDU, and Gayral pretty much cements his place here. Our range of neo-pros are doing solid work and showing positive notes for the future of T3A.
Cracking race upfront though, Poland always brings us a entertainment!
@Valv - You're not alone! And we're getting close to a point in the season we can open a new suggestions thread and really dive into addressing some of these still ongoing issues.

Luckily this race is over, it was just a waste of race days to come to Poland.
This PCM manages in my opinion to be even worse than the previous ones, but for sure better races will come for my team.
Congratulations to everyone who was lucky enough not to be caught up by the game and thanks for the reports

Terrible performance by the Kraftwerk hills squad. Hope this trend doesn't continue.

Commendable job from Raileanu with his consistency. Bad race from Teuns though. We need to do more to be able to survive this season.
Congrats to ember and also a great race for red Thanks for the great reports!
