All I can say is that at least Marquez did not lose 7 minutes like Henao did last season. Maybe a bit of hope with the mountain stage up next. Hopefully a better showing from our leader than in Pico Basile. Looking towards Bardet for some depth scoring too.

Contrasting fortunes here - a great day for Berhane to set himself up for a high GC placing (podium even a possibility) with the key mountain stage to come. For Ji though (with not too dis-similar stats) this just didn't work out at all. On balance evens out somewhat I guess.
On the AI, want to see a few more 1-day puncheur races before crying 'foul'. I looked upon this parcours as more fitted to the stage racer pre-race. Then again, I used to do the same in PCM15, and was then left disappointed. Hoping this means that my preference for more all-round puncheur style riders rather than Hil/Acc monsters will finally pay some dividends across the season, although still expect those guys will have their day on quite a few occassions.

Complete disaster this stage, now we can only forget and move on to the next race. In this already nothing can be saved

Finally we're in the break, and with two riders, so that's a positive, but I hope the GC results will improve on the last mountain stage |

5th overall for Schelling is just great considering this field. Reinhardt taking some decent results in the sprint is just icing on the cake as well. Im very pleased with this one.
Pluchkin is unstoppable as expected. A group of 17 finishing on the same time is a bit strange, but a well reported and very enjoyable race from start to finish. Thank you Kentaurus

Didn't think I'd end up saying I wish there were time gaps after this stage, but I wish there were time gaps! Still Bennett has done great here for 6th on GC, happy with that. A shame to see Grmay not getting any points and neither Areruya in the U25. Thanks Kent!

I like the fact that Marquez tried, and nearly pulled out the KOM win. Not sure how to feel about neither winning the KOM and falling in the GC in the process, on a stage which suits him. Bardet climbing the GC with a solid ride is a small consolation. Glad to see the back of this race now.
Thanks for the reports and congrats fj!

Oomen and Dall'Oste doing exactly the opposite of what I hoped for, but yeah, he's young can't really blame him for losing his jersey.
Congrats Popo and thanks for the reports!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Passive racing by the favorites. Satisfied with Uran's third place, Pluchkin was never going to be beaten and Martin deserves second place this time around.
Thanks for the reports Kentaurus!

Very quiet race from us. Would have liked to see some breakaway appearances, but oh well. Bonnin has been riding a fairly decent race, at least, finishing 22th in the end.
Congrats fjhoekie and thanks for the reports, Kentaurus!

No idea why Garby sat up from the break there. Could have made a real KOM push and instead just waited to get dropped from the pack.
Underwhelming race for us, but Warbasse at 12th on GC is alright. On to the next one.
Thanks for the reports.

8th in the GC, not bad, Machado climbing up a spot. I was gonna nag about the passive but he didn't look at his best so I think it was the best type of riding for him, I'm satisfied with his ride.
Congratz fjhoekie and thanks Kentaurus for the reports.

Very good race for us! 2*stage win, Pts Jersey (together with Pluckin), winning youth category and aslo top 10 by Anacona in GC with FÃ¥glum Karlsson at 16th is very good for us!
Thanks for reporting and congrats to GC win fjhoekie! |

Wow super happy with Chamorro's KOTM, haven't had a good climber in a while so it's a nice change of pace
Thanks for the amazing reports Kentarus! |

Decent enough by Pluchkin, weird AI though this final stage... But if the result is like this, who am I to complain?

Nice to see Kraftwerk riding on the front for Nerz, he improved from the last race, hope he can managed to break into the top 10 soon.
Thanks for the reports Kentaurus and congrats to fjhoekie.
