What a great stage! Pleased that Meintjes finished 3rd on the stage there, shame we couldn't get closer to Roche to give me real hope of winning the race but 2nd seems locked up which certainly would classify as a good race for us here.
Thanks for the report, Marco, it was a crazy/fun stage!

I take that back...
Failing to even podium in this stage is absolute trash for us. After investing so much of our squad in my favourite race, I couldn't be more disappointed than I am right now. It's game over for us I'm afraid.
The stage couldn't have been more interesting though. A pearl of a report you produced there Marco. Thanks for your dedication!

Good thing I didn't write my angry comments about Bennett's last few stages, because wow, has he made up for them! Whilst it still sucks this stage hasn't turned to a podium because of his time losses, a jump to the top 5 with a chance of staying there is amazing after a brave and strong ride! Awesome.
Shame to see Skujins crack too. And Costa One leap forward for Xero but then two back for our friends
On the other hand, very cool to see the old dog Roche taking the GC lead.
Thanks for an excellent report Marco, these crazy stages can be tough to report but you made it clear and not only that but very very entertaining

Madness on this stage. I cant be disappointed with skujins on this stage because this was always going to be difficult and not suit him. He lost this race on the previous stages and that is far more annoying than everything he could have lost now.
Congrats to all those with mo/hi hybrids who delivered on this stage!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Wow! The race went quickly from a disaster for Repsol to a big success in one epic stage. Valens with his first real chance to lead a race, and he didn't dissapoint. Super stage win, U25 win and Top10 in GC.
Amazing report Marco! Sorry for not comenting so far this race, though more or less i've been following it

Top 15 should be possible. Unfortunately there’s no chance of Vasyliv to move up, and he lost U25. The gaps were too big for us to score big in this race. But 100 points in total or so is acceptable.

And that's a wrap. Congrats to Fablok, Roche pulled off a great one here!
As for my team, nice to see them in action for the entire stage. Did not expect anything here, only hoping Quevedo might have a lucky break in one of the hilly stages. That didn't happen, but his final GC classification is decent.

Ah, so close for Costa! But congrats to tsmoha and Danny here
Great ride from Bennett to dig deep and hold onto a stunning top 5, our best ever PTHC race by some way! Though we can dream of what could have been with better hilly form, this is an absolutely great result and a huge benefit to us staying up and hopefully carrying on pushing at staying in the 9-15 spots if possible!
Thanks Marco for the huge effort, consistent great quality over 11 stages (at short notice too!) is a huge feat!

Boswell hanging on to 8th is pretty awesome as I thought he was a sure victim with De La Cruz behind him. Fantastic race for him, with a stage win, 8th in the GC and second in the points classification.
Good ride by Howson too to grab another stage podium here.
Thanks for the reports.

Koretzky survived this very well... I definately didn't expect him to stay in 11th after a 20km TT with this little gap to the next riders.
Vlatos and Vasyliv with underwhelming performances here, while Chamorro was OK.
Overall a good race where we leave with a stagewin ontop of decent GC points. Obviously it was little things that was between a good race and a great one. Koretzky in top 10 would have been awesome. Just missed. Vasyliv winning the U25 would have been awesome. Just missed. Getting in top 3 of the team GC would have been awesome. Missed, but not by much. Getting a stagewin from Vlatos. Missed - 4th in the opener...
So overall a good race, that could have gone much much worse. I'm not sure if it helps in the fight to stay in top 5, though. But having done some quick maths I guess we will end up with just short of 200 points here, which is absolutely decent, when having some subtop riders, but no big deals.

Very happy with the KOM win and a stage. I know it's not much points wise, but it's really all we could possibly ask for given our roster, the field, and the parcours.
Thank you Marcovdw for a lot of consistent, terrific reports, and congrats to all who did well!

GC wise, this race went downhill faster for us than the riders did! But a stage win and an excellent TT second for Costa in his last home appearance at his peak. Not all bad but could've been much better. Some more minor classification points picked up along the way.
An excellent PTHC outing for our PCT rivals, congrats to them! Bennett making up for some disappointments earlier in the season for our friends over at Xero. Congrats to Fablok on the win
Bekmanis beating some of the TT specialists is next level PCM
Thanks for the great reports Marco

Stuyven doing more in one race than he did for us in 3 years. Even worse, it's for a direct rival.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Somehow we get around 150 points from a race where one day ago it looked like a big fat zero for us.
Still i don't understand how the team is still with a solid gap in promotion spots after the terrible races we've had in July and August so far

I had high hopes for this race. Basically my A team apart from Herklotz and Demare.
And I had a great summary post drafted about stages 1 to 9 already.
Good, consistent results, spearheaded by the 2-3-5 on stage 2 and attentive Kelderman riding. I was ready to accept Bongiorno in a domestique role and Arndt not being favored by the AI to do anything.
And then the mountain stage happened.
Arndt dropping for a dead Kelderman instead of Bongiorno is peak PCM, and that's all I'm going to say about that stage or anything after.
Again, if not for the general rankings situation, this would be another one of those results that really really bother me.
Congrats to the PCT teams for doing amazing here though! And Marco guided us through all the action expertly.

Starting my catch-up with a race, that I was looking forward to.
And it didn't disappoint me! Kicking off with two stage-wins, excellent. Bobridge doing, what I was hoping for. Get an early race-lead and collect points until the mountain stage. A lot of 2nd places in stages is kinda heart breaking, but an unexpected third stage-win for the team made up for this.
6th in GC is still fine, too. Several days in yellow, points domination.. nice race for Bobridge and of course Bennelong in general
Not sure, when I'm going to finish my catch-up. So I will write it here: thanks for all, who carried the MG in the past months!
