Considering he got dropped, on the little climb a few km before the rise to the line, he did well to hang in there. Well timed attack and everyone just looked at Formolo.

Always love a good Giro breakaway fight for the stage on rolling terrain, glad I watched the full last hour Bilbao with a great move on GC and a lovely stage win. Makes things interesting at Astana, Ion may be out of the GC fight but Lopez/Bilbao duo looks good right now to go for the podium + top 10 for a second year running!
Nice to see Madouas going for the break again and eventually winning the bunch kick. Also glad to hear O'Connor got back to the group!

The Lopez/Bilbao combo I'd say is the most dangerous threat to Roglic along with Yates of course.

The most dangerous threat to Roglic is the weak team. With De Plus out, who would have been a fantastic help to have in the big stages, he's left with Tolhoek and... well that's about it. If Roglic will be in pink in the final week he'll be in big trouble.

If Kuss finds his best legs Roglic is in good hands, Bowman and Tolhoek aren't the best but they can still endure quite a bit.

I don't see what's the point. Either they neutralized last 6 or not at all, the descent is between 6 and 3
