It's not often we cover the affairs of other teams in our promotional centre, but on an occasion this momentous, we must cover an inspiring story, lest it go untold due to the absence of the main man to convey this legend.
Tatranska Klasika
Zsolt Der is a legend of our team, in our inaugural season one of his key victories was the beautiful Slovakian Tatranska Klasika, the hardest race of the continental calendar. We watched this year, hoping a worthy cyclist would be his successor.
The race was wet and marred by crashes, the commentator mentioned a Ukrainian cyclist, early on, Krasnoperov, how he was known for failing, despite potentially being an amazing climber and his inability to reach his potential, made him receive much hatred and insulting.
Today however nobody had harsh words for Krasno. He kept his head as his teammates disappeared around him, he noted the break and it's potential to win, but kept his calm. Finally Lewis moved to the front and Krasno, with his excellent racing experience, knew this was his moment.
Di Gregorio stuck with him for support, but it didn't matter in the end as the group reformed and they ascended into the darkness one final time. Anton broke the tension first and attacked. But Krasno was too smart, he let the other riders pull him back and then launched his own blistering move!
Lewis - the only rider willing to pace - was unable and suddenly Krasnoperov had a move going. The doubters were getting a bit nervous around this point.
Sella launched a chase, but it was too little too late and at the bottom of the decent:
Krasnoperov took a stunning victory! Striking a chord for all the Bakari's, Bos' and Thorsen's of the world! A beautiful moment in the history of cycling, and perhaps the greatest result since Bos won a criterium.

Tour de l'Avenir
It's great to give our youth a chance to excel and the Tour de l'Avenir is the place for that, we teamed up with our Ukrainian neighbours VisitUkraine and our German neighbours Löbau to field a team of young talents under Ukrainian colours. Involving our three riders Przemyslaw Kasperkiewicz, Torkil Veyhe and the worst rider in the peloton Christos Loizou teamed up with legendary Zouzou Andriafenomananiaina, Roman Lutsyshyn, Jakub Skala and Ignacio Jesus Pradro.
The prologue in Ajaccio gave the team it's first stage win, as Mexican Prado snatched the yellow jersey! Our talent Kasperkiewicz picked up third place on the stage with a stunning performance as well.
It was a dream start to the race, even with the team only hanging onto the jersey for one day. Unfortunately PrzemuÅ› hit the deck on stage 3 and with him sustaining an injury to his knee, it looked like our success for the race was over.
.
Fortunately however Faroe talent Torkil Veyhe stepped up to the plate, he joined the break in stage 7, but the move was unsuccessful
Not to be disheartened however, he tried to attack in stage 8 but found the stage dominated by GC favourites and with stage 9 a time trial, he picked stage 10 for his final attack of the race.
Veyhe joined the morning break and by on the Col du Soulor he set the pace, reaching the top with only Gebrezgabihier surviving on his wheel.
Gogl returned to the duo on the decent, while Veyhe was content to bide his time for the final ascent!
And as the climb began he ditched the other riders with ease, determinedly pursuing a 16km solo to a great victory!
Nobody could challenge him, Veyhe took his first ever professional victory (and the first ever victory for the Faroe Islands) on the final day of the Tour de l'Avenir, making this race the perfect race for us, with our youngsters excelling while our elites disappoint.

While our Polish sponsor Netia closely watches our performance in our home race in the Course de Solidarnosc, we are finally ready to confirm the rumours of our new co-sponsor for the 2017 season!
Our team has had strong Scandinavian ties it's entire existence, with the Norwegian paper company Norske Skog sponsoring the team for the previous 2 seasons, they have been unsatisfied with us failing to sign Norwegian riders and ceased to sponsor the team.
This opened up a space for a new title sponsor for the team, there was a reasonably wide range of interest, but we can finally announce that fishing equipment manufacturer Vónin will sponsor the team in 2017! The company is based in the Faroe Islands but also operates in most of Northern Europe and America, particularly Denmark, Norway, Russia, Lithuania, Iceland Greenland and Canada but they are looking for international exposure.
The Faroese company has interests in us signing several Faroese riders to accompany Torkil Veyhe, winner of Stage 10 of the Tour of the Faroe Islands, on the team, as well as maintaining the team's Danish base.

2017 Jersey
After signing contracts with our new sponsors for 2017, the team was quick to get to work designing a new jersey for the 2017 season. Working in collaboration with Rapha and the #RideRetro project, Krisa has outdone himself, designing a beautiful jersey, combining a simplistic retro style with stunning precision and expert detail. The team will ride in a green akin to colour on our previous jersey, with last-year's prominent blue being relegated to a secondary colour. Our riders will race in style next season.

Great looking retro-inspired jersey, and with that colour - very close to my favourite shade of green - it will certainly stand out in the peloton.

Thanks for all the comments guys Glad other people like Krisa's work with the retro style and as Matt said hoping this allows it to stand out in the pack.
