Marentes starts to justify the money I paid for him, just shy of winning us a stage there.

Meh, Martinez not moving up a single spot, so 4th it is. Good result compared to everything we achieved last year, not so good when you compare it to the pre-race expectation.
Knowing my luck, he'll crash out on the last stage
And damn, Alpina and our jersey look nearly identical from the front, thought it was Martinez who crossed the line first for a sec

Stop mocking me Tennant by going into breakaways, I beg of you...

Whyyyy work for Atapuma when others are much better placed in the top 10? at least we've got a chance to seal the points jersey tomorrow.

Almooost, come on.. Of course on such a stage, the only possibility of a chance was a breakaway. The stage win was close and it's somewhat an okay end to this up-and-down race for us.
I was fairly surprised to read Einsle at the finish since I didn't see he was in the BOTD.
Well, race is over. What can I say. We are no masters of stage racing. I am baffled by the confusion whose name is Andrew Tennant. Shit TT and breakaway on the two wrong days. Belmokthar throwing away his great 12th GC spot on a day when half the peloton finishes ahead of him. Many breakaways in these days, at least Einsle came away with a bargain at the end of it.
Time to say then, thanks for some great reports aidan and mucho gracias for posting them so reliable tsmoha! Great stuff!

LOOKING FOR A LOST RIDER: Said Haddou - should be located in the sprints, but goes missing every time - if found, please return to the nearest Sodexo Representative
I think that sums up my thoughts on how the Sprints have gone for the team - Mountains were an improvement on ToME, with a few Top 10 finishes for Baz.
Thanks a lot to Aiden for the reports, and again to tsmoha for posting

Just spotted, Canola 12th in that stage. I knew he had it in him for that specific stage. Of course, no points at all for that performance but hey, I wasn't all wrong

Soler!
I thought that he might do well on that mountain stage but not quite that well, a stage victory and the overall classification is an incredible result and far exceeding my expectations for this race. A particularly sweet victory considering it's a race close to home, and has turned our season start from decent to very good (although the rankings may yet confound this).
On the other hand sending Forero here turned out to be a complete waste of race days. Sometimes I wonder if it's even worth bothering with a sprinter the AI is that incompetent.
Many thanks for the reports anyway aidan

I was wrong, thank god.
Kinney going full retard 11th for Tolleson is not bad, but had hoped for more.
Thanks to aidan for the report, thanks to tsmoha for posting them and congratulations to Alpina and Soler on their deserved victory.

HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you've got to be kidding me
Moser overperforming wow, hopefully he will grab some wins as well throughout the season.
Molard and Rolland are the first riders who got into a botd
This bodes well for the rest of the season.
Thanks once again Aidan and tsmoha, can't wait for the switch to PCM 15.

Oh yes after this race and Herbiers, I am so lucky I missed out on the mess that was PCM14.
Vert + stage win and top 10 (Manulang?) are alright I guess. Looking forward to Langkawi now! Thanks for the reports, still very entertaining to follow!

First of all, many thanks to aidan and tsmoha.
Then I'm really flattered Kasa managed to hang on in stage 6. Losing yellow was to be expected, but his place on the podium is much more than I would have hoped for.
He absolutely saved the race for me. Well, he didn't only save it but absolutely overperformed. Furthermore, I've learned not to bring puncheurs to such races.

Back to back South Americans winning the Tour de San Luis for South American teams. How it should be at CT? Yes!
Many thanks to aidan for the whole race + tsmoha for the help. |
