Disappointing.
Thought with a sprinter and roleur we would at least not ignore the race completely. Not a good start.
Neither good to see no Sprint finish at all. |

So wait when you said Keukeleire was sprinting it was really Stallaert? I'm kind of disappointed that Stallaert was my dedicated sprinter though 12th is acceptable. Particularly with a lot of direct rivals not doing particularly well.
Huge congratulations to Evonik.
Yeah that's right, sorry. corrected it.
No worries, thanks for fixing it. Thanks for the report.

Good to hear, so TomTom not ending up last in January at least
Considering we're only starting in Eritrea in Feb, I find it very unlikely that you'll be last. Unless Vantomme sucks so much as to get negative points.

Good thing we managed to survive this unexpected outcome with Avelino's 7th.
Dream start for Evonik. I guess we all know who they are now!
Exciting report too, FroomeDog, thanks for that

Well, that was interesting. Quite exciting but rather hard for me to say I enjoyed the result when I had money down on Vantomme and he wins the bunch sprint, grrrr. Regardless, thanks for the report and good luck to knockout in his quest to lead the PCT division from start-to-finish.

- dev4ever - In hindsight everything is clear as crystals!
Oh Evonik!
Looked like the move stayed away as the five attacked right at the moment when the peloton were at its passive 10 km/h speed. By the time Puma could muster it's forces it was too late.
It looks like it will be a looong season for Sutty if Cavendish can't score well in races like these. |

Great start of Evonik - Wow! 311 pts in the first race.
AMEX's big off season acquisition Jerome Baugnies Triggers the winning attack and holds on for 2nd place. AMEX gets two others scorers - sprinter Giacomo Nizzolo (14) and cobbler/sprinter Matti Breschel (37).
159 points in the first race of the season. Great start for our team.
Next up for AMEX-Navigon will be the six day Tour Down Under.

Weird race. But even more funny from a neutral's position
Big congratulations to Evonik!

Congrats to Evonik. Nice to see both them and Swedbank doing well. Should give some good spririt around my youngsters.
If this is how PCM14 will handle flat classics I might actually have a chance for scoring a few points in those...

It was not the best way to start the season. Once again one stupid AI that allows an escape to so few kilometers from the finish.
But congratulations to the winner, as my team at least saved up the top 10 for Kupfernagel.
Thanks for the report FroomeDog99

This is the worst race to have any expectations for (and luckily we don't have a goal set for this race anymore), so I'm just looking forward to see the season finally starting in general and we'll go from there.
That's pretty damn cautious from the team with the top favourite.
See?

Well, that's certainly a disappointing result from Cav. Would've labeled anything other than top 5 a disappointment before the start. I'm sure he'll do better later on.

Thanks everyone for your Congratulations!
I had large expectations for this race but this tops everything!
I hoped to see this move by Smukulis/Dzamastagic a few times throughout the year but in this race i would have never expected that due to Boonen and the complete flat profile.
Bad AI propably. Do I care right now? Definitely no.
The only question I have left right now: Is it possible to love Dzamastagic even more than I already do?
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Cool to see such a clever late move succeed! Shame none of our riders went with the attack.
0 points like expected. But at least Terpstra was in the early break. That's what we signed him for and hope to see a lot this season.

Successful application for worst Vontobel race ever. Result is pretty much as expected, but disappointing our guys didn't even try... couldn't even find our beautiful new jersey within the racepics.
Gratz to Evonik... new to PCT, but already some tricks up on their sleeves.
Thanks to FroomeDog for the good read!

Have to say I'm very happy with Azteca's start and the job Summerhill did to scrap out some points for us in that race. Clearly my sprinters didn't have any interest in contesting so kudos to Danny for the points. Massive win though for Evonik.

It must have been nerves from wearing the Eddie Stobart shirt for that first time |
