Wow these declines are very extreme. Spartacus would have 71 TT at 60.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

So sad to see that in 2021 we won't have all these great riders |

Well what do you expect?
That they're all Horners at age 40?
I think it's pretty realistic. We see this huge declines in real life as well |

Yes, the declines of Schleck and Cavendish f.e. are realistic, however Boonen and Cancellara, arguably the two best cobbled riders of their generation (to exclude SP, TT etc) would hardly be 68 and 65 COB, even at 40 years old imo.

Hmm, maybe. I don't know.
You could add more variables for declines in different specialisations. But as Cyanide made the game they made the decline of all stats equal.

How come Pinot or Sicard haven't won a grand tour?
Pinot has the only 85 mountain stat and Sicard is the only top climber with a 80+ TT stat |

Boonen and Cancellara would be a bit better I agree.
It's like Armstrong would still be in the lower 70s climbing possibly. |

The stats decline works pretty well IMO. How many pros ride until their 40? |

I think Pinot has too low stamina, resistance and recovery to win GT

it is a shame to see 'spartacus' like this
and how could those colombians win without proper TT skill... |

Trivia: Two nations stood out as true superpowers of cycling this season. Both France and Italy enjoyed incredible success with French riders taking their fair share of victories early on in the spring and Italy showing their colors in the Grand Tours.
The two Italians Cesare Tomasi and Gabrielle Cinzia gave us some spectacular racing in both the Giro and Vuelta which led to Cinzia winning the Youth Jersey in both races and Tomasi taking the overall win in Spain. Tomasi also won the youth jersey in the Vuelta back in 2020, it will be interesting to see if Cinzia can follow in his foot steps. Of course, it wouldn't be the same without a Colombian winning atleast one of the GTs; Nairo Quintana took his 2nd Tour-win in a row.
As we know, the world is not comprised entirely of young people, there are some seniors out there aswell. Tyler Farrar, who has dominated the sprints in the Giro for the last 10 years, has decided to retire, a desicion which few were surprised by seeing as how he struggled to even get a top 5 this year. Another "old" rider who definately is not retiring any time soon is the Spaniard Luis Leon Sanchez. After not getting a major win for several years he shocked everyone by winning the Tour of Beijing at the age of 38.

Trivia: For Colombia the 2023-season is one of mixed feelings. In the same season that Nairo Quintana wins his 3rd Tour de France in a row and also takes the overall GC in the Giro, legendary climber Fabio Duarte announced his retirement. Former WC ITT-champion Tony Martin also said this season season would be his last, after not even being on the German team in the World Championships.
Some new names came forward and got some impressive wins. Luigi Croce, Gaspare Bruno and Larell Rockmore were responcible for just some of the major surprises we saw, the biggest one might be Larell Rockmore being crowned the World Champion.
It will also be a season to remember for the Dutchman Arend Hulslander who has attacked his way into the history books by taking a stage win in all three Grand Tours in the same season.
