That's a lot of money for a guy that might not finish. oF course, that can be said for anyone, but the chances aren't in your favor.

A young rider bet could be cool this year with so many contenders.

Used all my PCM$ earlier.
15$ on Wiggins for win
15$ on Goss for Green
20$ on Sanchez for Mountains
and my final 6$ on Sagan for Prologue.
Looks like nothing compared to iambennyboy, but if all goes to plan, I'll be a (figurative) millionaire!

The matchup for tomorrow's stage are a bit weird.. the Cance/Wiggins one is basically for the stage winner, and the Froome/Evans one, Froome has the advantage in the match up but Evans has the advantage in the stage win bet? I don't get it

Not putting major wages on this stage:
$7 Fabian Cancellara stage winner ($12.6)
$20 Fabian Cancellara over Wiggins ($36)
$10 Cadel Evans over Froome ($21)
If I lose all bets I am down to 70.25
but I get $10 tomorrow..

Alakagom really has some confidence in froome. His bias shows.

Well, based on the fact that he beat Wiggins in the long time trial in last year's Vuelta, plus that he's clearly in great form, I don't think you need to be biased to name him as one of the contenders tomorrow.

I wouldn't be so confident on Cancellara. Tomorrow's stage is very important for the GC, so I see Wiggins putting some more 'effort' than in the prologue. Although Cancellara showed some amazing form in La Planche des Belles Filles (20th!). Speaking of surprising performances, I really wouldn't have expected this from Tony Gallopin, he has climbed pretty well in these last two stages (although now this is a bit off topic ).

He already beat Wiggins at Vuelta + he was 6th at Dauphine in the long TT and should do better here.
He isn't above Evans

I put him Evans above in main bet And the Match-Up bet was for fun, and they also almost same priced.
And if you didn't notice - Froome beat Evans at Dauphine too

I know .... obviously...
But we are going by past results and events ( crashes at Tour etc. ). Froome showed he's strong, he beat Evans in prologue and yesterday. Doesn't mean he's better TT'er. But.
Meaning : He's stronger than at Dauphine
Meanin : He'll do quite well in TT
Meaning : He has a fair chance of beating Evans
There you have it. In main bet Evans is higher, in fun Match-Up they're almost equal.

Okay whatever. More money for me when Evans beats him.

Good. I think I actually wanted to do Froome - Menchov match-up, and that but then changed it to Evans Oh well, it should be close and fun.

I really need PCM$
During the classics I was in the top 10 for most money with about 500$ but the Giro saw me drop down about 100$
I have had a dreadful start to the Tour as well, I bet on Cav early on (won 1 lost 2) so bet on Sagan (Greipel won 2 in a row) so bet on Greipel on Friday (Sagan won) and bet on Sagan today.
I bet on Cav for Green (won't happen), Wiggins for Yellow (will happen), Sanchez for Polka Dot (can't happen) and Gesink to finish above van den Broeck (unlikely to happen).
Cancellara must win tomorrow (wins 14.4$ for both bets) and Evans must beat Froome (wins 4.2$).
Cavendish is more likely to win the Yellow jersey than I am to finish the tour with money. |
